    Brian you should know where i'm taking my car......

    and everyone with bad experiences with SLS should reply to this thread also....i know there have been others...but they dont visit this forum often and some arent on this board.

    SlowGST has already got the big picture....I grew up with him and he is a good friend of mine.

      So for something simple like an AFC, turbo, and custom fmic who would you go to? Because that is what your buddy is asking, not to do it himself......

        Alright i'll tell this story for everyone. John got a 6 bolt swap and for one reason or another the motor went bad, still unknown cause as we are not allowed to tear motors down or they will not warranty them. JDM 6 bolts motors have been getting slimmer and slimmer as far as availability. SO after roughly 2 months we received another motor under warranty that motor was locked up on arrival so that was sent back for another motor, none available. John decided he wants a motor from elsewhere so i offer to match the $1250 he paid for the motor from us being the motor he wants is coming from Canada w/ extensive shipping cost and totals to be roughly $1600. I tell him i'll orde this motor and put the $1250 towards it you pay the difference or we wait for the motor i will get under warranty for free and no charges. He does not want to do that and thinks i should foot the $1600. Well about a month later or so this latest motor arrives but does not come w/ turbo or exha manifold which is not uncommon some come w. them some dont, we've gotten motors w/o intake manifolds as well before. Well John decideds to make a huge issue over this and says he does not want the motor and just assumes we are going to install it w/o a turbo and exh manifold, obviously thats just ridiculous. I told him some motors come w/ all accessories some dont so he just assumes he's not going to have them. So he then requests i push his car outside so he can pick it up. I push the car outside, motor is in the other shop as well as some other parts not left inside the car. I arrive back @ the shop car is gone, he musta have picked it up. Come out of the shop few hours later car is back in my parking lot.

        Point of the story you decided you did not want the motor and you wanted your car outside, so if you could please come pick up your parts and car.

            Take yours cars wherever you please. But on street legal days pay attention to the cars running 12's and better and let me know where their coming from and who's building the parts to get them there....

              Nick you told me to get the exhuast manifold and turbo myself from my old motor...

              And i said if you dont get the parts for me then you should just push it outside and give me my $1250 back....

              I did not say push the car outside i'm comming to get it..

              I said push the car outside if your planning on giving me my money back.

                well said nick. even though there are some people that have had problems with SLS, i would trust them and ontly them with the 4G63T. Nick does some sweet work. i would take it to him for anything that has to do with a dsm.

                  Nick you also told me that you are sick of dealing with me, along with troy and kevin...

                  I never really talked to troy about it though.

                  And I'm not really sure but...Kevin might be sick of me asking him about my motor....but thats only because I can actually talk to him about it... And he is helping me w/ it.

                  I think that it is your problem to deal with...

                    Point of the story you got your motor. It took a long time, which sucks. Kevin is going to help you and put it in. SLS produces the fastest cars. Sometimes you cant please everyone. I have had to wait ridiculous amount of time for stuff on my car at other shops before. Sometimes shit doesnt work out and it is a bad situation for everyone.

                    Please put this to rest, it is pissing me off.

                      i have had nothing but good luck with SLS...they took extra time to make sure everything was right on my car(had a ton of cut wires) and cut apart a good harness to make sure my car ran tip-top and wasnt ghetto'd...it took about a month to get my motor in the mail and that was after ordering a motor they had in stock at the place they order them from...and the guy told us they are having trouble getting them and they are backordered around 3 months after this order...and this was april 2004 and im assuming they havent gotten any easier to come by if not harder by now...either way the motor not coming in on time wasnt tuftes fault...you even told me yourself john...you said it went out east and then came back to fargo again...so it was late...as some of you know my car went 12.20@113 on pump gas and 19psi...and yes some of the work was done at SLS...the quality is really high and they take pride in their work

                      At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

                        You have to give respect to receive respect. Kevin was going to warranty his work on reinstalling that motor but you just keep pushing it to the edge. By now i think everyone knows that i dont have any problem sending disrepctful and threating customers walking which is exactly what you have been lately. If you can be courteous and have any understanding how this market works then you will end up w/ a good quality work. Take it elsewhere if you choose that is your choice. But i will stand behind it 100% we do the best quality work and turn fast the fastest cars of any shop in town in mulitples.

                          I understand you have to give respect to recieve respect and I did that and waited until like May to say anything...

                          Then me and my dad started to come in and ask questions about what was going on and it pissed you off so something had to be done..and nothing was done so we had to threaten and be disrespectful....sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do

                          If any of you were in my position i think you wouldve done the same.

                            Basically it comes down to it if parts aren't available they aren't available and there's nothing that can be done. Both times motors were located and they were on the way you were notified. When i got tracking on the last motor you were given the tracking. Places in Canada had motors that could have been had quick but costed roughly $400 more. You did not want to be the difference so the warranty motor was waitied for. You went above and beyond disrecptful by calling the motor distributor and bitching @ them and trying to bad mouth me to them, and yes i did speak w/ them and yes they did tell me what was said. You try lie to me and Kevin telling me they have motors andf they were sending you one, you try and lie and tell me that they hate dealing us yada, yada. Basically once you start calling the distributor and trying bad mouth when they tell you the same thing motors not available that is above and beyond the edge. Then you threaten w/ me lawsuits when you know motors aren't avail because you spoke w/ distributor yourself. Like i said if you wanted a diff motor quicker you could have paid the difference and i would have ordered elsewhere. After speaking w/ your mother today and explaing this to her she thought that was more than fare that you pay the difference if you want a more expensive part. Alsosaid she doesn't car sits here until July as long as it gets done because you have no drivers license anyways. So yeah when you IM me try threaten me w/ lawsuits, have your buddies IM me and try act tough yeah im gonna get pissed and yeah im not gonna do you any favors.

                              Actually My dad called the distributor place over and over and over...and the lady did say that she hated dealing with you....she told us she didnt have any motors or should wouldnt get any until the end of june.

                              I never badmouthed them...my dad talked to them he is in his mid 40's i highly doubt he is gonna lie to them and you. I never once said they had any motors..i knew they didnt...you were the one who said they sent you one.

                              I never IM'd you threatening you w/ lawsuits ...my dad talked about all that with you..
                              I never had my friend IM you either...he did that on his own...

                              And i will not have my license back until July 27th but thats beyond the point...my mom said she wants it done By July 27th....that doesnt mean it can't be done earlier...like i want it done...I payed for the car...so i let kevin know when i wanted it done by if he can do that...I have talked to him about it and he knows what is going w/ it.

                              You told my mom you would supply the parts needed....so my mom and my dad will be calling basically everyday to find out if you have done so.

                                I will add that I've done 99.9% of my buisiness with Nick and Kevin and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about either one of them. On the contrary, their service is top notch. They are very easy to talk to, underestand, and deal with. Not to mention they are very competitively priced. As far as DSM's go and for custom fab work, I would bring it to absolutely noone else. I will be one of the first to defend SLS/SLD in any situation. If there is a problem, Nick and Kevin have always been quick to resolve it with me. It's all in how you approach the situation.

                                I also have dealt with Tintmasters when buying my nitrous and will give kudos to them an their sales and service. I have dealt with Shane on more than one occasion and he's been great to deal with. I haven't dealt with Jason per-say but have heard the same of him.

                                    SLS kicks ass. Trust me, if you dont rush them your shit will get done immidiatly. I had a clutch install with a few other things done to my car and it took less than 9 hours to do and he was busy.

                                    I have a bunch of stuff in my car to sell. I have an AFC II you can buy from me.

                                      i think the same goes for any shop. if youre going to be a dick and expect special treatment youre not going to get good service. like wes said. its all in how you approach the situation.

                                        After reading all that bitching and moaning I have come to a conclusion. Nick is handeling this very well and im quite impressed. But my conclusion is that mwc1 is a little boy that is impatient and doesnt understand the whole situation, and since its not going his way he is getting upset about it and bitching about it.

                                        I have delt with SLS very little, but from what I have I have come to know that Nick and Kevin both have very good customer service skills. Both were polite and curtious the times I have been in there, and I have looked at quite a bit of there work and it all looks top notch. If I wasnt in such a bad rut with money right now and legal issues id definately have my car at there shop getting some work done!

                                        Now nick has a very good reason your car wasnt done it just sounds like you are a spoiled little brat that expects everything to be done when its done. When your buying a USED motor from japan you cannot expect it to have every part, or run properly... its the gamble you take and the reason they warranty them. Quit your pissing and moaning and realize the whole world doesnt revolve around you.
