RX-7 int he paper
-
Anyone take a look at the RX-7 in the newspaper. Don't know if it is sold yet, but I went to look at it and I think it was worth $500. If I had the extra money I would have baught it, but someone should. It was a 1986 GXL that was loaded with everything, white with a burgundy leather interior. Said the rear apex seal was shot and ran bad. I was thinking of buying it and putting a 4.3 V6 in it, as I ahve done that before.

I was gonna go the ford 5.0L route with my vert before I found another motor. I had the 5.0L, T5 and all the wiring, then I found out grannies speed shop wanted more for the freaking crossmember with mounts than I had paid for the drivetrain, screw that.
funny story, way2fastcamaro, you'll appreciate this.... I actually got all the 5.0L stuff from a guy in rothsay for putting a camaro 3.4L v6 into a fiero! nice and torquey when its done, but wheezez out top end. Now, a GenII 3800 with the fiero 5 speed on it, THAT is a fun car!

You got those from Pete, intresting, were you the one that put the 3.4 in the silver one he has? I am currently going to put a 3.4 in my 87 GT. Can't afford to do the 3800 swap now.I build my own cross-members for the RX-7, I have done 2 conversions. My first was a 5.7 and t-5 out of a 92 camaro, but it got expensive and you need to do a lot more mods to make it all work. My second one was a supercharged 4.3 out of a blazer and a T-5 Tranny and that worked great, even ran on the factory radiator and didn't have to remount it.

naw, the one I worked on was black, if I recall correctly. I would have just built my own, but did not have a welder at the time, lol! n
I wanted to do the 5.0 because freinds of mine used to won mustangs and camaros, guess which ones required the least amount of work?> lol of course the camaro was an 86.5 with the electronic controlled rochester. crap. fun stuff tho!

psst, buy my car
I'd buy your car, but I have no extra money, got it all tied up in fiero's, and still buying more. IF yours would have been forsale last fall before I sold all 4 of my parts cars I would have baught it. I used to have a huge collection of RX-7's including a 89 Turbo Rx-7 that was right hand drive.
