So im looking for new rims/tires and have found the best price on ebay (surprising?). The only problem is, i have NO trust in ebay and am not the best at spotting if its a good deal or too good to be true deal. Any of you guys think this is a good place to buy from and be getting my moneys worth or not?

I don't have much experience with shipping wheels and tires, so I can't comment on the shipping cost. Otherwise, the seller has a very good rating and the auction looks safe to bid on. If that was my only choice on eBay for that kind of item I'd buy it.

That is awefully high on the shipping cost for those wheels...yet that is a hell of a deal on the wheels alone. That cost probably includes packaging. A good way to tell if you are getting a great deal is to see how well the seller has been in the past and how many points they have. My judgement on this seller is A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++....
Also, from my professional standpoint with the average cost on wheels, that is hella cheap.
        Go for it. Hella Deal!!!!

dustin i will take a risk with my account if you want to buy em...and i dont think $160 is overcharging at all...think about it wheels with tires...that isnt very light or small...ive spent $100 easily to ship 2 15'' subs in retail boxes and a dual 15'' box...

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

Do it up Jeremy. I just recently began to use eBay again and you have to watch their ratins and such. Also keep away from XS-Power and SSAutoChrome.

SSAutoChrome is a lot better than it used to be...a bunch of people have been doing research on Zilvia.net and finding out the quality of the products...

$160 is pretty normal for shipping wheels and tires. Thats lot of space and weight to take up on the truck.

Alright i might have to hit you up on that offer. Im an ebay noob and paypal noob and would probably screw up and get bad credit ratings and all sorts of stuff. Still have to talk the parents into it though because i have to have their permission to spend my own money i guess (wtf???) They agree i need new tires but they dont know why i need new rims they think the ones i have on are "just fine" but whatever....ill just point out that they have their gay little hobbies to spend money on and this is mine and i dont give what they say as long as they get their $$$ from me every month they should have no say.

The next best deal ive found so far is gefracing and that is just the rims alone, 4 would cost about $600 plus $560 for wheels plus balancing/mounting would easily be $1200+ so i'll play the whole "im saving $450 by doing this and getting new tires in the process"

Call me a sceptic. But, He stated in the ad that there were Nankang tires on the wheels. However, there were goodyears on in the pics. Just wanted to throw that in.

To tell you the truth Jeremy I like the rims you have on your car. Aren't they "Bullit" rims? Seriously just pick up some tires and with the money you saved go buy some long tube headers. You will thank yourself after you get them on. I have heard that it is a night and day difference with LT headers over stockers.

P.S. 1999 SVT Cobra Rims look much better IMO.

Good deal, buy em. Shipping on those things usualy tends to be pretty hight, but they are not cheap to ship so...

                          1. im dustin, not jeremy 😛

                          2. the ones that are on there have a LOT of scrapes/dings in them. The clearcoat has chipped in multiple spots and there is tons of curb rash and other dings on them as well, not to mention the fact that they're 15's

                          3. LT headers would suck to install the way it is, throw in my added bad luck and those would be a reciepe for disaster. And there is no way i would pay someone to install them on my car because labor is way too high to justify putting them on a car i dont even race (yet). For now i think ill go with minor performance things, maybe go a little crazy and put some nitrous in. But for now i want to get some other stock things running properly first, like my tranny that is running too hot, my struts, and possibly paint touchups. I might also be lowering it 1" or so, depending on how crazy i get. More than likely i wont be doing any major performance mods til next summer now 😕 X pipe/gears might be it for this year.

I don't know why I thought you were Jeremy. I suppose I only saw your car in the dark so I never got to see the scrapes on the rims. If you have things you need to get fixed then I would do that first before buying some rims.

well the things that need fixing shouldnt cost too much, i just figure right now im not really too worried about going fast so much as i want traction in the winter because i wont be getting a winter car and would actually like tires with tread on them. This way i'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone, new rims which ive always wanted, as well as tires with tread on them which i NEED.
