shit...thats nuts, I've jumped a bunch of times, but wow, that is insane. Someday I'll have to post for first experience skydiving....one of my buddies almost didn't make it down with us.

not constantly, but the first 30 seconds seem to take forever, after that its a blast.

Ok, I'm all caught up on stuff now so I can post my first skydiving story.
3 of us decide to go skydiving about 8 years ago, so we go to Minot and take the class....get on the plane and are ready to jump. My buddy was the first in line, I was second and Wendell, my buddies friend, was 3rd. Anyways my friend gets up and jumps out the door, only instead of falling out, he kinda jumps up and gets caught on the tail rudder of the plane. The pilot radios back and tells us either he can't steer the plane and asks us what we want to do. Of course we jump, the instructor is radioing to us not to look back, etc... but we wanted to see how our buddy was doing so we roll to our backs and watch as he gets himself free of the rudder. Whew, right? Wrong. In the process of unhanging himself he manages to deploy his chute and it wraps around his legs. Fortunately they actually covered this in training so he gets the chute free from his legs only to realize that both chutes are open. This left him with just the option of cutting one away and relying onthe reserve. He cuts it away and the chute seems to take forever to inflate as we watch, finally it does..then we realize we are getting awful close to earth too (so it seemed) so we deploy our chutes too. I landed first and fell on my ass, Wendell landed 2nd and fell forward, the instructor landed third (he jumped after my buddy managed to get his chute open....really high up there, so he actually landed before my because of the free fall) and literally rolled for like 30 feet. Finally my buddy lands and walks out the landing as if he had done it a million times. After much talking we did what most people would do...got in the plane and did it again the same day. LOL
