I see the needle bounce as I gaze upon my tach,
my heart pumps in sync, an arrest of cardiac.
She roars back at me, I know what she desires,
and her roar becomes a scream as I push the needles higher.
My arms fade away, my legs slowly disappear,
all the clutter in my life, slowly becomes crystal clear.
Shifting without thinking, taking turns without blinking.
I only take a breath when the RPMs are sinking.
Red fills my eyes, I'm completely at a stop.
Green hits, tires chirp, I bounce off wheel hop.
I push her hard, and she pushed me right back.
Shifting into 2nd the rush is comparable to crack.
Riding 3rd she keeps on pulling, now the corner is approaching.
My tires smell like piles that the city has been torching.
I the take corner cleanly and pull harder coming out.
I feel sorry that I ever gave her a shread of doubt.
The sunroof rolls back, the stereo starts bumpin.
I'm shaking all over, the rush left my body thumpin.
She's better than a woman, and now I'm sure that you can bet,
that I need a change of pants, and a fucking cigarette.

    They call me, old man...
