Points

did i say that? no. i was being self-centered and only talking about myself. sorry if i offended any of you by making it seem like all of you do that stuff.

For them Minnesotans, you start with 12 points. Each time you have a violation listed on the back of a ticket, you lose points. Exhibition is 3, drag racing on a highway is 10. When you lose all 12 points. you lose your license for 1 week for each point over. Anyone want to post the points chart for these guys? By the way Brian, My girl and I went and raced south of west fargo, no one was around, we saw lights and slowed down, then he hit the cherries, we didn't get clocked, but he knew what we were doin, so we each got tickets.

Actually you start with 0 points and when you get 12 you lose your license. My old man used to be cop. I guess it works either way no matter how you look at it. I lost my license for a whole two weeks, timing was just right to get a point back, didn't even know I lost my license til I got a notice from the state tellin' me to send my license in. Goddam W. Fargo cops nailed me with a bogus care required ticket, never were very clear on what I did wrong. I told my dad the story and he said that's what they write you for when they can't get you with anything else.

i gotta drag racing ticket and speeding ticket(both north dakota tickets) within a year and didnt get it suspendedminnesota licenses don't have points. thats one of teh benefits of living next to north dakota.
if you lived in minneapolis youd be fucked to go do some runs. high ticketp prices and cant goto wisconsin cause you gotta pay the officer on the spot or somethin.
i guess theres the only reason why north dakotas on the map.

and isnt it if you get 3 tickets in 1 year in MN your license is suspended?
-
that was what I heard a while back (think 12 years or so), my GF from back in college had 3 low speed speeding tickets (7 mph over, 10 mph over and like 14 mph over) in the course of about 9 months, she lost her license for 30 days....those were the only tickets on her record.

I'd rather pay the fine than have something on my record which will increase the cost of insurance much more than the actual cost of a ticket.

Your insurance company will still find out about a moving violation even if you don't lose points off your liscense so it makes no difference. -

i personally dont like either system...i got fucked by the ND system, but if i was in MN, i would still have my licience...in MN, if you get 3 tickets (moving violations) w/in 1 year you get an automatic 6 month suspension (correct me if im wrong)...im sure nova knows about the MN system
