Beware of bodyshop and i got a ????

I don't post on here alot because I don't like posting without knowing something about the given topic, but I will voice my opinion on this one. I was also recommended to this body shop (glyndon auto body) by a friend. The guys that runs the shop goes by the name of "hung" or "hong", I'm not quite sure because I couldn't really understand him when he pronounced it. I had him fix, mold, paint, and install a very "rough" body kit on my 2000 alero. He said it would take about a week and a half from start to finish. I brought my body kit to him on a thursday evening, I brought my car to him on the next monday, and got my car back the day after (tuesday). He did an excellent job in my opinion. I have washed my car a couple times since then and have not noticed any runs in the paint or scuffs. HOWEVER, he did bust a corner of the rear bumper off and then proceeded to put it back in place with another screw. You can't tell it has a crack in it unless you look for it but I notice it everytime I look near that area. Other than that, he did an excellent job on the body kit and made it look like new. I will not reccomend this body shop nor deter people I know away from it. You should talk to him and see if he wont do whatever he screwed up over again. He's a nice guy so I would give that a shot first. If that doesnt work, take him to court. Sometimes thats the only answer.

Hung, the owner is a close friend of my brother. He did an excellent job on my brother's Accord a few years back, and an awsome job on my brother's 350z last summer. He also did my parent's car.

I don't want to come off as a dick because I don't know your personally and don't take this as an insult but If a buddy of mine took his car to a body shop and came back with runs in his paint, there would be NO way i would ever take my car to the same place. Not even if my mother recommended it. Just my $.02 -
Kinda off the topic but I usually go to Wallwork and they have always done good work and have given me a fair price. I usually talk to neil and he comes through on what he promises. Plus he said they will do any body kits and any of that sorta thing. Anyway I dunno all the circumstances but usually you get what you pay for. Unless you personally know the body shop. Hopefully that shop will make things right for ya. With sites like this and they way car enthusiasts get together now, its not good for a business to let a customer leave the shop unhappy.

Go see neil over at Walwork see what he can do. Tell him Jeremy sent ya. If he gives ya a funny look just tell him the guy with the Red RX7. When I 1st got my car the paint was kinda like gritty it was not smooth. Anyway they sanded it with some super fine grit sand paper, then buffed it out. It turned out sweet. So if that place does not come through go see if Neil can hook ya up with somthing. Neil said that my car had been repainted by like Maaco type body shop and the quality of work usually is not the best. So he charged me like $300 to wet sand it or what ever and buff it. Looks damn near new now. Now I just gotta get the interior redone.

Hey thanks for the info Raider, its good to know. I have done business with Neil on 3 different occasions and have always been happy with the work. One time they buffed out my 7, another time they fixed some vandalism on my wifes car from a bothced break in, and the 3rd time I needed some minor work done because of my own stupidity.
