Time to vent to locals about Meineke....

Ok, here goes....
Meineke sucks....PERIOD....I know this because I used to work there....now, at the time, the work performed didn't suck, it was the owner and manager that are responsible for the place that makes it a HORRIBLE place to go to.
Both of them no absolutly jack shit about cars. PERIOD. Nothing but slave drivers there too. No nothing about how to run a repair shop, let alone how to appreciate and treat their employees right. I wouldn't be so bitter about the place if it wasn't for the owner, who is responsible for paying the employees, decided not to pay me my last paycheck, after working my ass off the final week I was there, including being there on time for my shifts, which where 11-12 hour shifts in the first place without real lunch breaks, and I worked the additional day I picked up from a fellow cooworker that we had priorly arranged for him to go to L.A.
Now, anyone here looking for any work done to there cars, including oil changes, or even looking for employment, DONT BOTHER. It isn't worth the stress or the hard time to even try to get a paycheck. I suffered a huge loss in pay when I left Tires Plus, but decided to look for a new job because of this. I was promised the world when I was hired, and saw absolutly jack shit. The day I went out looking for a new job, not even a few hours went by and the manager at Tires Plus called me and offered my job back. I hesitated, but after working another day at Meineke, it wasn't even an option not to go back. I have been back at Tires Plus for over a month now, and it was entirely worth it. Im not only receiving a hire pay than Meineke was paying, but im getting even more than when I left Tires Plus. I wouldn't even recommend a homeless person who is despreatly need of a job to go there just to wash windows.
In time, the place will go under. Not because of shotty work done to vehicles, but by a owner and manager who can't run a place of business. I am in the long process of trying to obtain my paycheck, but that'll take some time for sure.
Just want all to know, dont have anything to do with Meineke. It will go down, in time.

well, I took the time to type out the whole story (like 10-15 minutes) then my computer took a shit so here is the short version:
"free wiper blades and tire rotation with oil change"
"sweet, I'm in"
"Well, all done, here are your keys"
"and here is your money....go outside to my car...wait, only one new blade, and no rotation"
"yep, we are out of blades and think you need new tires so we didn't rotate them, but (conveniently) we are having a HUGE tire sale in two weeks, come back then."
"fuck you, I'm never comming back"
And by the way, the new wiper blade is worse than the one they took off that had been on the car for almost 40,000 miles.

I never did like the wiper blades that they had. Like I said, they are going down and under quickly. Promise the world like they did to me for employment, and even to customers, but dont get nothing but jack shit in return.

Yeah...I asked them to adjust the camber on my front wheels, both to -1.5, or atleast as close as they could. come back, one is at -1.8 (I can understand that, the camber kit is maxed out) but the other is at -.5. WTF??? Told them to put it back up on the lift and put it where I wanted it. I come back an hour later, and they are unwilling to adjust the camber because the anchor bolts are hitting the lip of the wheel well....WHY is it hitting the wheel well, because the camber is adjusted too much positive. I politely tell them....if you give me more negative camber, it will clear the lip...trust me. NOPE, they won't work on it til I make more "clearance".
On a side note, the workers tried to tell me that there is no difference in one degree of camber and I wouldn't know the difference. Also, my caster is supposedly only off 1 degree from one side to the next, but it looks closer to 3....so I am questioning their measuring techniques.
