when swapping everything, it's all about personal preference; it isn't a matter of gains, but whether or not you can handle a manual transmission.
insert classic response "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" 😉

did you also think about new clutch and brake pedals, clutch master and slave cylender line for clutch mounting plates if they are differant between auto and manual and pieces around shifter, possibility or differant legnth driveshafts. im not really full on mustang knowledge person but i know the headaches with motor and tranny swaps from working on it in my 240sx

The mustangs use a mechanical cable for the clutch. Its not hydraulic. Thats why some people bitch that the clutch on a Mustang is too heavy. Personally, I like a heavier clutch.

if you've got good credit, anyone will give you a loan. go on, forget about your debts... make the minimum payments on everything and get buried in debt; don't you want to be like the average american?

I would advise educating yourself with what you can do before getting into mods. magazines are a good start. subscribe to all the mustang one that you can, and read them, not just look at the pretty girls and cars.

I will be taking a loan out through my bank, would it be better to leave it an automatic?? With Cobra Engine or another mustang engine that would be better?? I need help Im tired of bein known as the riced out mustang, The tail lights and neons will stay just cuz I like them, but now I need to get some power in that pony. So heres my main questions....
                        1.What engine should I get
                        2.Manual or automatic
3.Should I leave it a V6 supercharge it and mod the hell out of it(Ive heard of 10 and 11 second V6s)
All your opinions will be appreciated!! Also does anyone know where I could get a decent job??

Sell the V6 and buy a GT or Cobra. It will cost you less in the end, the car won't be hacked together, and you will be able to sell it one day. It sounds like you have no idea what in the hell you are doing as far as an engine swap goes, so I would say to not even try.

mod the hell out of a v-8 and supercharge it. the tranny thing you need to think of what you preffer and is it worth the money in your opinion to have a manual. you also should think 5 or 6 speed for manual, and what about upgrading to a differant auto tranny look at the reliability and what they can handle. doesn't the 05 stangs have a 5speed auto??

The difference in insurance is not all that much with a V6 compared to a V8. I pay 800 every 6 months for full coverage on my Mustang GT. It would be a hell of a lot less with liability only.

There is a lot that goes into a V8 to V6 swap. Here is a list of some of the major things that need to be swapped:

                                Motor
                                Tranny
                                Rear End
                                Driveshaft
                                ECU
                                Wiring Harness
                                Instrument Cluster
                                Suspension
                                Brakes
                                Fuel System
                                Exhaust

You can see that there is a lot of stuff tha need to be swapped. There is no way in hell that he will be able to pull of a swap like that when you have to ask what engine and tranny is best to use. Thats why I say, don't even try it.

I wanted to turbo it but I brought it to type R and they said about 10g.........thats a lot just for a turbo. I cant get insurance on a GT I totaled 2 cars years ago and got a few tickets here n there, there for I cant get it till some of this drops off my record. I dont plan on ever selling the stang so that wouldnt matter. I want to learn about performance stuff and I figure this would be a good way to do it. I like my car to get rid of it, so it will either have to be swap or mod V6........

What are you going to drive while you are trying to swap or mod? You gotta get to work somehow. If you are prepared to swap everything I mentioned, good luck.

www.roadraceengineering.com used to sell the aem stand-alone system with 3 different prices.

                                        1. $10k if you want something to amaze your friends that will help you build a 10second car
                                        2. $3500 if you think that this is the only way to make xxxhp
                                        3. $1400 if you are concerned about how to adjust your fuel pressure on the fly, account for large variations in altitude, etc
the questions weren't that simple, just stuff i pulled off the top of my head. basically, if you were buying the stand-alone because of fast and the furious than you deserved to get raped... but if you had some idea what to do and weren't just jumping on the bandwagon... see where i'm going with this?
caleb knows what's what, he'll help you figure out what to do if you ask him the right questions. BUT, if you go in (any performance shop) saying that you want your base model mustang to smoke your cousin's viper, have 2 15's in the trunk, convert it to a 5spd and still be reliable enough to get to class enery morning... he's going to send you away with a scary price (and if you are stupid enough to buy at that price, he'll be happy to take your cash).
do some reading to compare superchargers to turbos on v6's, figure out some realistic goals and what kinds of prices to expect, then go in with some intelligent questions. i guarantee that you will be talking to a completely different guy and getting different answers.
