Burglar was caught!!
-
So today in the Forum, my mom found an article about a burglar being caught with $100,000 worth of car electronics, computers, etc in his apartment...he lives a couple blocks from my house...it said he was most likely responsible for the increase in electronics burglaries in the past 2 years...he is from Anoka, MN according to the article. To any of us that have had our shit stolen and given the cops model #'s or serial #'s maybe we will be getting our shit back...they said it could take up to 2 weeks to go through everything...WOW
-
umm....he was mostly known for stealing stuff from businesses, not nickle/dime stuff out of cars.

Remember about 3ish years ago when there was a string of burglaries in south fargo apartments? Guess what, I got hit. They took 400 CDs they cleaned out my wallet and my girlfriend's wallet including her ID (about $80 total) all while were were sleeping in the bedroom 10 feet away. Anyways, within two weeks we got all but one of the CD's back and a check for $80 about a month after the guys were convicted. The one CD we didn't get back was catalogued by the Fargo PD but was taken by someone else while they were picking up their shit. I am sick of people saying shit about the fargo PD. They don't suck, they do their jobs. Shit takes time to recover. Somewhere right now there is someone writing down EVERY SINGLE THING they found in this guy's home including what size underware he has in his drawer! SHIT TAKES TIME!!!!
sorry, meant to say within two weeks of the guys being caught we got.....

It wasn't that I was a damn good exception it is that when people get caught committing crimes against other people it takes time to get everything sorted out.
The key words are "when people get caught." Now I'm assuming everyone is going to hop on my nuts saying things along the lines of "if the fargo pd did their job they would catch more people." Wrong again. How many people on here have had their shit ripped off and didn't report it? How many people reported it with such great details as "i have no idea who did it" or "it was some dude wearing a black hat driving a red car."? The police department has to take that "i have no idea who did it" or "it was some dude wearing a black hat and driving a red car" and turn that into proof that john doe did committ the crime. It isn't exactly easy.

i guess it all depends on the situation and your attitude towards the police also

Iagree with you but then again when somebody sees the individual get into the pickup and drive away as well as points him out in a photo it does absolutely nothing in convicting or recovering stolen property.... just another piece of paper filled out.

pretty sure ive told this story before.. but ill tell it again.
my moms car got stolen from outside her office 2 weeks before christmas 02 i believe. she reported it right away with the make, model, year, color, and plate number. they found the car in the middle of a field a week or so later all beat to shit with everything of value stolen. in the trunk, they found a bunch papers belonging to a woman. the police had been to her house that very morning before the car was found, asking her and her family about it.. knowing that they had a history of auto theft.
they never bothered to go back again. never bothered to fingerprint. the car was found (when the owner of the field called the police. not by the police themselves) and thats all they cared about. she called the detective working on the case quite a few times in the weeks following, but never got a response back, even after many messages. they never did bother to catch the person.
but back on topic. i hope everyone on here that got something stolen gets it back.

yea, depending on the situation, fargo cops can be the most worthless thing in the world and don't give a shit about anyone but themselves.... but it's good to hear that idiot was caught, good luck to everyone on getting their stuff back out of all the shit that was stolen

there is many times when the fpd does do there jobs like fuck with us when we're in parking lots when they could be out doing this other shit. The last time Mark Fradet got his shit jacked there were finger prints on the window and the cops said they couldnt do anything about it and that is bullshit. my moms ex-boyfriend was a csi in mesa, AZ and he told me otherwise... so in those cases cops here do suck

rather then catching these people, they'd rather chill at Krispy Kreme and eat their damn donuts.. they are supposed to protect and serve! not sit around all the damn time and harass people for no reason

You guys should sit and bitch about the cops not doing anything in this town more, becuase we all know that never gets old.
