lol that would REALLY suck! I wonder if I put the ESN stickers on my car that will keep people from stealing it. But I don't know if the guys that steal stereo's know what an eclipse is... since someone else on here just got an eclipse stolen from them.
-
nope, no alarm yet, I was working on my engine, so there hasn't been anything to steal in my car for a few months, unless they wanna unbolt my factory seats and take those...
-
Yep site on sound guys are pretty cool that's why I deal with them and stay away from the crooks at team electronics
-
so eclipse has a stereo program where if it's installed properly and gets stolen you get a new one?
-
yeah, ECLIPSE has the ESN system, so when someone steals the deck it won't work unless you have the Key-cd and I think if you have thier best deck it can be tracked, cause I think it has built in GPS for a map program built into the deck, it's like onstar but in the deck. and yeah I have no problems with any shops in town, but I stick with site on sound, i've worked with them for a few years and they've always treated me really well, so they won all my bussiness.
-
oh yeah, and I completely gapped this out, but yeah eclipse warrenty covers theft. you send them a claim form and a copy of the poilice report and they send you a new deck, pretty sweet deal!

LOL, Nuckah PLEEZ... Brooks gives me the hook up a lot, and fitzy is god. Does site on sound tint? do they ever take anyone serious under the age of 30 that goes in there? That's what I thought. Honestly I have seen(and re done) an install on a sunfire that they did with a deck. I should've taken pics so you can see JUST HOW HORRIBLE it was. they mustve used 1...2...yeah probably 3 roills of electrical tape, no wire crimps, and a broken mounting kit to install it. If you payed for what you got, I wouldn't complain but they have the HIGHEST prices in the FM area! -
that odd, I've always been treated good when I go in there and i've been going there since I was 18. I always just ask direct questions and they give me direct answers. about the same as i've gotten everywhere in town I guess. I like team too, but i've always been able to get alittle bit better deal on the stuff I want at site on sound. but everyone has their preference. Either way it's still better then best buy:P
-
ive always had great luck with site on sound. theyve always treated me well, even when i just came in with questions. they even looked at a wiring job i did myself for free and told me what i couldve done better. every install theyve done for me has been nothing short of professional.
but back on topic. glad to hear you got your stuff back. after posting it on here though, your next purchase should probably be an alarm.

Butch at SoS is pretty good to deal with, but not just everyone gets a good deal from him.
SoS's "head installer" licks balls. How many times has that tiburon trunk cracked and recracked on them? Beefs dash is another prime example of them not knowing their heads from their asses. they basically redid a stock dash out of fiberglass.....the hard way. Instead of peeling off the factory vinyl/foam they made a MDF skeleton thinking that somehow MDF is structurally superior to metal....metal that was made for this car mind you. So basically what they did was take a relatively simple lightweight job and turn it into a heavyweight disaster. They didn't even sand the whole dash smooth before sending it to Oddens Chop Shop for a paint job (though that may be oddens problem). If you look at the front of Rostams dash you'll see that they used the stock plastic trim there (looks like ass, doesn't match anything near it). I had suggested using plexi and having it engraved w/ the SoS logo and Alpine logo and then side lighting it with LED's or mini neons and paint the bottom side the same color as the rest of the dash. Apparantly that simple idea was over their installers head cuz he told me it couldn't be done....Butch asked him why, he just said it wouldn't work.
As for Team, they are a very good shop with good equipment and a good installer in Fitzy. Maybe they are a little higher priced than some places (though I'd argue that in comparing them to SoS) but the best price isn't always the best deal.

FWIW, SoS's installs have gone down the shitter since Scott Tanner left. That guy was good.
-
the only cool thing on SoS was the commercial with the guy and the bad ass sunglasses with the 2 chicks
