      sounds like the kicker sub may have had a defect from the factory then and might explain why it blew...or it may have had a slightly melted voicecoil and when a more high current amp was on it that didn't go into protection right away it cooked. The whole blown Kicker Solo12 problem makes more sense now.

            that amp is rated 2 ohm when in independant mode, and 4 ohm when bridged

              2 ohm in independant and 4 ohm when bridged....its gotta be opposite of that.

                nope...amps cant run a lower resistance bridged...

                At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

                  stick with mono amps for subs. maybe things have changed though, as i havent been paying much attention to the car stereo world for the last few years.

                    Its correct. 2 ohm stereo output is theoretically equal to 4 ohm mono.
