I have never liked Madden ever. I did like NFL 2k though that was great and it was cheap too. But now since the super-conglomerate of gaming EA has rights to everything I dont see this venue of games advancing.

I have both madden and ncaa 06 for ps2, overall they are pretty much similar, each have their own pro's/con's..
NCAA Pro's : You can do the race for heisman mode where you start out as whatever position you want to play, you do a tryout and you get recruited by certain teams, but if you want you can just go to your fav. team... then you automatically start and you try winning the heisman by your senior year... The game is a lot more fast paced the juke button and stutter step all are with your right analog stick and just i think easier to use than the one's for madden where they are your R1, R2, L1, L2... with the right analog stick being used for your "truck stick" pretty much a hit stick but with the ball where you run over the defense...
NCAA Cons : I like knowing the players and the teams are so unevenly matched... either you pick the top 25 team or your not gonna be any good if you play someone who isn't top 25... Luckily my team i like to use is top 25...Madden Pro's: I like knowing the people, they have a franchise mode where you have 2 parents and you can look at their DNA... and they match you up with them... you can't mess with your stats you have to work in training camp and practice sessions to get better... you get an agent, and you get drafted by a team... You dont automatically start so it makes you work for it, you get interviews and shit like that which is pretty cool IMO, I like the QB vision thing also for Madden, makes it more of a challenge when playing someone else... you can't just sit and look at one person you have to look around for the open guy.. Makes you get frustrated at first but makes you a better player i think. Defense is a lot more fun as you get more INT's and stuff like that.
Madden Cons: The juke button is not as effective as it is in NCAA and the Hitstick takes a little longer to like activate or whatever you want to call it...
All in all i think it's just whatever you would like to get.. i like both games pretty much equally just play madden more cause i hate how they are QB #5 and shit for NCAA

If you like a challenge...........take hawai'i, and make your player..........see if you can turn them around.......thru recruiting, etc.i t's a blast..........tough but it's a blast.
I pick hawai'i 'cause they kinda suck.......but they're not so bad that it's impossible.
But yeah the school creation is kind different in ncaa, i'd love more masot graphics, but oh well what can you do

I have NCAA 02 which is ancient now but I built up Wyoming and it was fun.

Got 06 now played it for a week everyday for about 4 hours a day now lookiing for something else to play.

Got hooked on it again with the dynasty mode.

Blake and I have a season going in Dynasty mode right now..
we made the sioux, won the national championship, averaged 70+ pts/game NOT on easy mode, ran for 4000 yards and 50 touchdowns, passed for 2000 yards, ran for 1500 yards w/ the QB, and the QB had 57 touchdowns on the year.
Yeah, domination.

The thing that really pisses me off about the game is the AI for pass defense. I can have all-american DB's and they get burnt by freshmen WR's.
