lan plans for fri, oct 7

trying to get a jump on plans this week. nathan has the night off, so we'll be starting off with two players that know the ropes. hobokamera said he's got no plans for the weekend, and i think two guys on my floor here at school will be there... so we've got 5.
just hooked a noob last night, SHE said that et kicks a$$ and i think she'll be coming back for more. who else can i count into the mix? plus, just found a couple of dudes here at school (one of which came last year) to join up, and i think they'll be willing to keep coming

shooting for at least 10 this week, for some good 5on5 action. in fact, if we can get 5on5, then we can start playing bf1942 against each other, instead of just against the cpu characters.

the season is off and running, let's start getting so many people that i need to find another table and put people in the garage! 15? 20?

we were having problems with remote connections this time around, i'll have to bring it to nathan's attention. last year someone connected, and the only problem was his inbound/outbound was a little weak

ok, it looks like the remote connection issues have been fixed. here at school, i never saw my ping go above 59, so the connection is solid. it sounds like this friday we'll be kind of low for attendance, several attendees will be going out of town. HOWEVER, unless stuff comes up, next weekend will be that much better!
by the way, i haven't played rome: total war yet, but one of the regulars has just acquired it and we're going to see how it will work. i don't know anything about it, except that it's supposed to be one of the largest rts's, so it should be interesting.

any ideas for other games we can play?
