this winter i am pulling the sohc ka and swaping to a dohc ka, as well as doing a auto to 5speed swap in my 240. I also well be turboing the car this winter.
my one question is turbo size.

also do you think it would be better to get motor and tranny all put together and running and working right before i turbo it. or just do it all at once and figure the problems as they show up. this is something i want to do and do it right and not have to do it again.

    thanks for the help

    PM me for:
    Sandblasting(I use glass beads)
    Diesel repairs or performance products.

if the new engine is freshly rebuilt run it and break it in before throwing on the turbo, it you are just doing a swap without rebuilding turbo that bitch and work on problems as they come. 🙂

ive heard of KA-T guys getting full boost out of a GT35R around 3k...id just throw the turbo on and break it in on the dyno...

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

i also dont want to have to trailer it to the cities for dyno tuning.

oo that gt35r sound mighty tempting, and buy full boost you mean how many psi, just need to look up the price

if you are going standalone then just download a basemap or if you are just gonna use the tuned ECU idea then just get your ECU tuned by enthalpy or JWT and then get the SAFCII to dynotune and fine tune...

ok so why are you worried about dyno tuning? Tell him exactly what turbo you have etc and itll be damn close...then you can dyno tune and make it RIGHT on if it already isnt...your car should do just fine with just an enthalpy tune so just get that done and run it like that until you can get on a wideband or dyno...
