Idk if im gonna go this year or not. I got pretty bored during the days as there really wasn't a whole lot going on and we spent most the time sitting in the chair staring @ the sky. If there's something else going on that weekend im out, if there's nothing else then i'll prolly go just to do something.

I thought the cops were great there, ive never heard of anyone getting a ticket for speeding or exhaust. Hell, in the parade I saw one cop yell "Light em up!"

Its not really a car show though, thats what people need to realize. if you're going for DJ's, dance music and models, you are going to the wrong show. More of a meeting of car enthusiasts.

Sounds good to me, I'm not a HUGE fan of 'Hot Import Nights' style car shows to be honest.

I live here in good ol Devils Lake, This years Devils Run is spose to have more to do than any of the previous years with possible airplane rides, a blackhawk helicopter landing in the park on sunday...Stan Orness the guy who puts on most of the stuff has been trying to incorporate more of the things to include more imports. He thinks it is great to get some of the newer cars in there along with the old classics. I usually have a party that weekend at my house i know a few people came out last year and jumped on the trampoline and had a blast with that. but the bad part is i live down 3 miles of gravel.

id go but its the same weekend as graduation. so probably not on the list off stuff for the summer

This is all a matter of point of view. if you look at history devils run, toppers, motor magic, ect... are more of a car show and the hot import night type show is more of a party or legal version of a rav with cars parked in the party.

early registration is May 1st after that price goes up and remember if you have 6 or more sign up together it's discounted more yet. cheap for a whole weekend

i am planning to make it to the SPL competition and compete.
any details about how this is being done?
such as class's, mic placement, doors open or closed and so on?

as far as entry fee goes. is it the same as the rest? as in do i have to get the wristband and so on and so forth?

just trying to get this straight before i make the trek.

are they actually going to have an SPL comp this year? I coulda swore that Knu Koncepts was either out of business or in SERIOUS financial trouble. Last I heard, he sold his whole inventory to someone else in town...perhaps the new guy is putting on the comp.

Hopefully it is sanctioned so that consistent measurements could take place.

For the record, I think I hold the SPL record @ Devils Run with a 171.8, granted that was 10" from the exhaust of my car, but its still a record!

i will be there either way, but the linkage from this thread says there will be an SPL competition. so there better be. if not then they need to remove it.
