but how many people do that for a living? or have compared a TON of tires? Wes has professional experience...

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

you have a good point, but with many reviews you limit down the chance of a bias, not saying wes is biased by any means, but I will check out his suggestions though as you pointed out he does do this for a living.

I look at this/you as any customer that I encounter. I want to make sure that the customer gets what he or she wants because I want that person to be a repeat customer and that they know that I'll always steer them the right way. I'm not making anything off of this so it doesn't matter to me. I don't want you to patronize me for the tires either. that's a little too far to travel for tires. (I live in FF). If performance is what your after, there still is alot more options for you. I personally believe that Michelins are far overpriced for what you get. They are known best for high mileage tires. As is usually the case with that type of tire, they tend to be a harsher/less forgiving ride and not the best for grip in all situations. The rule of thumb is the less mileage the tread is rated for, the softer the compound hence better grip. Now, I know there is exceptions to the rule but this is generally speaking. But I will shoot you as straight as I can about tires.

They are rated very high by alot of people. But realistically, I believe that the comfort treads will give you better ALL SEASON performance. Especially in the winter. Look at the solid groove in the center. Sure there are some siping cuts in there but, that usually corresponds to not-so good winter grip. I like there aqua channeling but I think the others will outperform around here.

if you havent gone to tires plus yet might i suggest dakota tire.. they are kinda out in the boonies but they have a road hazard warranty. they will patch it for free or if the sidewall is torn they will replace it.

Getcher green hat, we are goin fishin.
