who is your insurance through? Im pretty sure that not matter where you get it , they have to tell you if your rates will go up. thats what my agent told me. if they go up or your quote is low enough just dont file a claim. either way that sucks.

Alright well ill probably have a well crafted talk with my insurance agent (state farm, gail jordahl) on Monday. I stopped by the Moorhead Center Mall today and got to watch the security video footage from yesterday and it does look like there was a white car parked in the vicinity of where I was. The lady was just going on her break when i showed up so i didn't get to stay long and look in depth but she said it was employee parking where i was at so it might have been an employee. The car looked like a convertible too, so while i was walking out i noticed a chrysler lebaron(i think) that fit the general look of what i saw on camera. I looked at the car and the front end had dents/smashes in the front bumper on both sides SO that might be the car, im not sure. I wrote down their plate and am going back to the mall a couple times next week to see if they're there again, and if so, im assuming they are an employee and possibly the person who did it. I dont know who to really tell though, police? insurance? Either way it gives me a small ray of hope, even though in the end it probably wont be that person.

confront the person, tell them you have them doing it on video and see if they will "work" with you. Hit and runs are a BITCH on a driving record, so most people will probably go for a "deal". Just an idea.

After measuring my car i'm pretty sure it was an SUV or truck or something......which means it might not have been at the mall but at ACE. it is 2' 4" up on my car, really high for a car bumper.

Ace doesn't so im SOL if it happened there. I didn't contact the police because it's not THAT big of an issue for me. I doubt they'd find the person and im not going to waste their or my time for something minor compared to what they could be investigating. I'll just take it up the butt and repair it.

Well i got the report filed after seeing the little clip on the news about a white SUV/TRUCK/VAN being involved in several hit and runs this past weekend. She said she'd contact me if she found anything out and i told her about the moorhead center mall secuirty footage and she said she'd have that checked out. So there is a report filed for it now but i'm still thinking they aren't going to find who did it.
