as some of you may or may not know, there is a very good chance that there will be some flooding this year. I live right on the red river, and it is getting closer and closer to my house and all of our neighbors houses. We will be assembling our dike tomorrow(saturday the 1st of april)morning around 9 or 10. We don't need help filling sandbags and stuff cuz we have a sweet uber-high tech plywood dike, but we need help running drills, driving 4 wheeler and moving pieces of the dike. Around noon we will be ordering pizza for everyone helping. If interested, reply to this thread.
Our address is 3607 Riverview Circle in moorhead. If there is any interested, I'll post driving directions.

Thid is a picture taken from my back window. the water is usually in the the banks behind the trees circled in red.

South Moorhead is my stomping grounds. I should be able to wake up around 10 to help out. Flooding sucks.

What was the river level last time you had a bad flood?

I can come out, since I will be helping sandbagging other parts of the river anyways.

Well Flood season officially sucks... specailly when it's raining. Last night channel 6 6o'clock news was broadcasted live from my front yard. Yesterday we had a whole bunch of college volunteers, and I didn't get back from wiliston til around 230PM, so I didn't get on here until most of the work was done. Thanks for your concern guys, we might still need the help if the crest rises. Honestly, we don't think its gonna go to 37, maybe 36, but were being careful. Here's some pics of how we are doing this.
first 3 are of the water right now.
The last one is out dike, will post the design later... gotta go help fill sandbags.
