H22 swap
-
Well ive been doing nothing but research for the last few months....making sure i dont go into all this blind....but so far everything is on track for the H22 swap in my 94 accord....looking to do it at the end of next march....the thing i want to look more into is the cost of the actual swap. Who will do it? How much am i looking at spending? A kid i used to be buddies with told me that straightline specialties would do the swap...can anyone back that up?
-
I'm sure SLS would do the swap.... Roadsounds, and Tintmasters all do swaps too... I believe.... but good look getting anyone other then SLS to do swaps durring starter season, and even then I hear they're pretty backed up right now. I would pm PSI2HI, or chec out straightlinespecialties.com for their contact information.

Yeah I stopped in there today and even now they have a full load. Kevin seems to be on JDM Engine swap duty this winter.
-
How much do the swaps usually run?

I've got an H22 swap "in stock" so to speak if you want.
We've got it in Mike's hatchback but are willing to get rid of it.$2500 and it comes with everything.
- H22 Motor w/ Trans (Trans is kinda iffy)
- AnR Equal Length Header
- AEM Intake
- AEM FPR
- Exedy Flywheel
- ACT Clutch
- Shift Linkages (Also won't need, but could easily sell)
- RSX-S Shifter Assembly (Won't need, but could easily sell)
- Mounts for EK Civic (I know you wouldn't need these, but you could sell them)
- Hondata Stage 2 (Tuned by myself) 183 whp, 165 ft/lbs @ wheels
Motor has 260 comp across the board.
We've done h22 swaps into civics, del sols, preludes, accords, and we've done b series swaps in EF, EG, EK civics, as well as B16 and LS/VTEC setups into 2g and 3g integra LS's.
Let me know if you're interested. However, definately one of those things we wouldn't be able to take on until spring.

Might as well add Type-R Motorsports to that list to, everyone seems to forget about Caleb... But then again, he isn't on fargostreet and he doesn't have the comprehensive list of project cars that other shops in town have, I can say honestly that he does good work, it just takes a little longer since he is a one man shop (Hint: Find him when he needs money, he tends to be quicker then).Having given my little pitch for Type-R, I may just have to do a little personal observation post on the various shops in town. I know Jason @ Tintmasters wrote one up when fargostreet was first starting...but that has been LONG deleted.
