ok i was putting in a new radiator fan sensor in my ek and redoing my ground wires, before i tried to start it today i kept on hearing a fast ticking sound coming from under the pass. side dash and seen that the main(fuel Pump) relay was doing it and i tried to start it and the engine tried to turn over but it didnt. so then i put the ground wires back where they were b4 and tried it again... nothing so i took my tester and probed it into a wire on the relay.. the pump turned on and stayed on but car didnt start when i tunred it over and the relay started clicking again. i ran out of ideas of what it could be does any one have any idea!!! thanks:icon_scratch:

no i dont think so, my dad even used jumper cables to ground it we tested the coil, it worked cause i put it in my other civic and it started but when we tested if we get a spark it only sparked once and thats it i have brand new wires plugs and rotor, the main relay has a 4v and a 12v boxes in it and the 4v is the one thats clicking. and the first time i tried to start it with some 10 or 8 gauge wire i lost all power when i turned it over but gained it back when i ran another wire from the tranny straight to the neg post but still no start.

It's a ground issue. Double and triple check all of them again.

Ya, that is my thoughts also. When I got my car done originally, the car didnt start, I cleaned up all my ground and it started just fine.

im sure you already tried, but did you try to jump start? sounds like you are running low on voltage (left key on while doing work, we do this all the time on accident) and it drained your bat enough to cause the ecu's to act up (causing relays to click fast). try to jump start, then get back.

I stand by my original statement of a loose connection. My 'Stang was being a bitch this spring and it turns out that the battery terminals and the grounds weren't making a good connection which caused it to do all kinds of goofy shit.

Whenever something doesn't work for me, it usually ends up being "STEP 1"

                        1. Does the object have power or is it plugged in.

                        They call me, old man...
