fastest all-motor car in the F/M area
-
Their you go Spoolude; you got a record to break for In-town wise.....
-
where the hell do you find a $2500 Supercharger AND intercooler?? Cheapest ive found so far is mid 3000 to lower 4000's
-
we werent being negative...were just telling him the grim reality...its expensive to be even quick...the way to be all-motor is with a V8 and thats no lie...sport compacts are meant to have boost to make up for lack of displacement...not saying it cant be done...and keep in mind his car is heavy compared to most starting points
if you build an all motor powerhouse...great more power to ya...we are just stating that its gonna be a real BITCH to go fast
-
o ya its going to be a bitch.. and its going to cost an arm and a leg but i think it will be fun and its more of a jdm thing to.. since im not going to spend 2000 on I.C.E or other worthless stuff like that.. i will have more money for other stuff like ITB's and a rebuilt and sleeved motor.. i have other plans for the lude so i hope that i can make enough money do at least get in to the 13s after this summer..
-
I think itb's would be friggn sweet. Love the sound of a good all motor. Just not as much as a turbo spoolin
-
Hey Spoolude he's got a point; going all-motor you should switch to Motorlude... Just giving ya shit bro

ya i knwo what u mean. the plan was right after i got the prelude is that i was going to turbo it hence the name spoolude but now that i changed my mind about that. i might just have to change my name now -
perhaps... "da lude" would be a better name, eh? because the next phase will be a supercharger
if you're that intent on going all-motor, you're going to need a lot more research to figure out what the fastest (sub-10) n/a, fwd cars are doing. it is possible to beat billy's time, but it will cost much more than i think you realize.
cams 600+
valvetrain 500+
exhaust 1200+
pistons & rods 800+
intake manifold 1500+
porting 1000+that's a conservative estimate, and i only listed things that the engine will need, assuming you keep the stock displacement.
i am not trying to discourage you, because tim is of the same mindset. currently, he's doing all he can to get out of debt to resume his quest for parts.
we're here for help if we can offer it -

AEBS-motor bored over to a 2.4 resleeved
AEBS-custom cams
AEBS-high compression pistons
TWM-individual throttle bodies these arnt free
skunk2-valvetran
i dont know what header to get still looking i know its going ot be a equal lenght header
and then the little things

PS:Out there hows the integra project going keep me informed -
mostly trying to keep our list of parts up to date with prices and places that sell them, looking for alternatives or better prices on the items we're set on. the plan is still to have enough to buy almost all of the parts necessary at once, so that we can take advantage of any new technological developments that a company might introduce between now and then.
if you're planning to stroke the motor, you should look around for other places that offer stroker kits. crower comes to mind. while they are $$$, they've been proven. you're going to need at least 300hp to hang with a lot of the local guys, assuming you decide to keep your weight the same. might want to look into a company that will prepare a block for you. if i remember correctly, that's fairly popular with the 4age guys because they need a block/rotating assembly that is sound and capable of very high revs to make n/a power... honda is no different -
hey spoolude how much did your h22 swap cost?
-
n/a is a waste of time and money..unless you have tq to begin with.. which you dont.
-
well doing 300whp in a h22 all-motor is not going ot happen this year that and the most all motor h22 is like 280. so if i can get that magical 300 number i guess i would be the h22 god lol jk
out there u take a look at www.aebsracing.com? this is who is going to do all my motor stuff sleeving boring all that stuff. going to find out how much it is going to cost this week.. -
300 whp all motor out of almost any honda is a feat in and of itself. The problem is 300 whp prelude is still heavy. Weight is the biggest factor with all motor cars.
220 whp is all it takes to run mid 11s all motor w/ a honda, provided the car weighs around 2000 - 2100 lbs with driver.
