honestly though whats the difference between fargostreet threads and the actual streets. you hang out with teh crowd on the street and you have the couple a guys who talk cars, you have the guys who brag about what they have and what they want to have, and you have the guys who just fuck around all the time. really this forum is no different then if we all hung out down in the parking lot.
i haven't been here long myself, but i have been on other sites for years. yes they are better at staying on topic and yes they don't get into quite as many pissing matches. those sites are larger based though, this is local based. there are probably only 5 people on here who want to or have the cash to throw around at there car at anyone point in time. so when they have questions they will come and ask, but what are we suppose to do until someone has a tech question? just sit here and watch nobody post. the site isn't big enough for it to be a pure tech forum. so let people piss around, but i do agree you should stay out of the threads that have actual meaning such as the tech threads and whore other threads like this one that don't have any car value.

i would have to agree with lank on this one. i've noticed that when some people do have tech questions and they do ask there is some peole that tell them that they shouldn't waste there money or time, instead of telling them they shouldn't do it just tell them the info they want and let them learn the hard way if it isn't good for them.alot of the people that fight with each other is some times funny to watch, but it does get out of hand and that's why jim created the run your mouth section and people should use it if they feel like talking shit. -

You guys are missing a serious point here.
Yes, fargostreet was originally created just as a forum to setup meeting places and for the people that run around fargo that are in to cars, to chat on.
I didn't know many people in fargo that were in to cars, just the ones that went to my school. Honestly, does fargostreet still accomplish that goal of new people meeting each other? I think so.
I'm sorry to all of those people who think it should be a hardcore forum, but that was never is purpose nor its goal.
I removed all moderators and administrators, I will from now on be the only one that does any sort of moderation here. This also eliminates any of those cheap shots to the guys at straightline. Obviously they don't run this site, I do, so stop saying the board is run by them.
Fargostreet doesn't have the amount of "hardcore" people for it to be a serious internet forum, and even if ALL of those people who would take it seriously signed up, there wouldn't be anything to talk about here anyway, becuase they all see each other on a fairly frequent basis.
Do I care that Fargostreet is a joke on other websites? No. Whats was MY purpose on MY website? What was MY goal on MY website?
It was for people to get to know each other, so they can meet up and have fun, so if they like to rip on each other on the internet, if they like to post whore, who cares, you can tell what thier charector is just by that.
I'm not even sure how many times I've said this, but if you don't like it, why do you all keep coming back? Do you have some distant hope that it will ever turn in to a REAL forum? Well, maybe when drake and dubbsy get thier Fargostreet clones up, theirs will be a serious website but I guarntee there will be absolutely no vistors.
Honestly, Fargo doesn't have the car population to support a real forum, I found that out three weeks after the site started. So all of you go ahead and talk shit about fargostreet on otherboards and make fun of it, but for god sakes quit tourturing yourselves by coming here.
