^Are they any cheaper since they have Intel chips now?

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

      Hell no...

But owning a mac is worse then having a Trojan on your PC...

Boot in to safe mood (hit f8 when windows starts to load), see if its still there, if not...

go start -> run -> msconfig

disable all startup items, and click on the services tab... click the "hide all non-microsoft services" and disable all of those too

once you have done that, reboot normally, and if this fixes your problem, start using the process of elmination (and common sense to what could / could not be a trojan).

Also, go in to internet explorer, and disable all third party addons...

You can always check the running processes(XP, ctrl-alt-delete) and their functions by using google and searching for the name and file type. You will get information about it and if it's ok. Not fool proof but you can generally fix it that way as well. You'll probably be surprised whats running anyway.

I got my 20" for a steal! after selling the nano that came with it it was only like $1300 or so? can't remember right. but they start at $1499 with the student discount tho. a 20" screen computer that is fast as fuck, that is a hell of a good deal, especially when you dont run into any problems. Ive had mine since last sept and not 1 single problem yet. had my vista 17" multimedia laptop since feb and have had many problems with that.

I want a mac its the fact that I don't have that kind of money laying around to purchase one. I wouldn't go with a desktop tho. I would rather have the MacBook.

i hear you on that. we had been talking about buying one for a year and then they released the 24" out of the blue and dropped the price on the 20", which made it a lot easier.....plus my windows desktop crashed too so I needed something asap. Macbook is great, but again, awefully expensive for the size. Got my 17" multimedia vista HP for the price of a 13" macbook. Macbook is great for freshman college students. Macbook Pro is excellent for those who are concentrating on Com, Graphics, Computer related subjects.

go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ run their virus scanner and write down the name of the virus that you have after its done searching. Then go to http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/ and it will tell you the process needed to remove it.
