yep...Paris is a big criminal. I am glad they are wasting their resources on that instead of fighting what is important.
Blame the media, not anyones fault but hers that she cant keep her ass from behind the wheel while her license is suspended which SHOULD = jail time.Media are just lickin their chops and blowing it up bigger then it has to be.
BTW i thought it was awesome on friday when the Judge ordered her back and sent her to jail for the whole 45 days instead of 23.

The judge just wanted to get famous, made an extra harsh sentence for the crime. The sheriff made the right decision, sent her home for electronic monitoring because she isnt a violent criminal and it is a waste of the county resources. I know people who have had DUI's and numerous DUI's and never served close to 45 days. She will get out in 23 days anyways.....the judge can't rescind on the previous sentence, it wasnt Paris' fault she got let out in the first place. Either way I still dont like her...

I dont think anybody likes her, but it takes 10x the resources to house a speciality person like a celeb (in addition to the fact that, as brian said, most non-violent criminals do get sent to home detention, for the same crime).
That judge is a douche, but so is Paris, so hey, whatever

If her sentence is legal and fits the books for the crime (which it does), who gives a shit how it compares to other peoples sentences. What I really love is Sharpton trying to turn this into a race issue again. Just another reason for the "black community" to shut up now when they say blacks are treated unfairly.

When I was brought up on charges of D.U.S. back in '93 I was told I would be spending 60 days in jail in wahpeton. Fortunately the case was thrown out and I only spent one night for a crime I didn't commit. I know others that have spent as much time in jail as paris is being forced to do for similar offenses.
I think it was blatant BS that she was able to get out because of a mental breakdown. Shit, everyone who spends time in jail breaks down a little bit. If she was actually on the verge of meltdown, why didn't they send her to a psych ward for her own safety?
The judge is the one who by law determines your punishment and where you will serve it. If different arrangements need to be made, it should be coordinated with him, the prosecuting attorney, the defense attorney and the accused.

I don't blame her, but it was her celebrity status that helped in her release. Who else is going to get a shrink to diagnose you while in county jail? And even if they did, do you think they would get out? Me either.

The real question should be how the fuck did she gain celebrity status??

She isnt in jail for her DUI's, shes in jail because she violated her driving with a suspended license charges...actually twice, she got a slap on the wrist warning the first time, and the second time the state decided to take action cause the slore thinks she can get away with everything cause of her status.it ALMOST worked, hell I read one of the reasons they let her out was cause of a rash or somethin and didn't like the bologna and cheese sandwiches they were feeding her. Another case of money can get you whatever you want and the sherriff is a fucking idiot for releasing her without the judges content. No other 'normal' person would get off the easily, you know it, I know it, everyone does.

so even worse...driving under suspension. I guess that is why the jails are over crowded everywhere. I see no problem with home monitoring for that offense, but am glad she is spending time in jail to wake her up. Seems like she found religion and wants to change here life around...we will see if it is just a front. anyways 45 days for these types of offense are ridiculous. Waste of money if you ask me.....

Its not about the cost, its the principle of the matter. If they had let her out early they would be setting a bad precedent of letting people out early and for bogus reasons. There would be a ton of cases where someone claims that it is discrimination that Paris gets let out early and yet they have to serve their time in prison.
