What just happened

Well when I got off of work I came home, got on the computer, logged on to my fav site to find the whole fargostreet world was in the process of crashing down. And it took one guy to do it. Well since then alot has transpired. If you read a certain thread, you'll get the idea. And something happened that I never expected would, Nick pulled all his advertising and dropped his moderator privelages (if that's what you want to call it). So now Jim has appointed a few of us to try and fill his shoes so-to-speak.
I am kinda tickled to be a part of it but what really stinks is that one of the guys that got me into the Fargo scene is so fed up with what's been going on on this site has given up. Now I know some people dont like the way he approaches some posts and members with his no-nonsense point of view but I have to say that he has done alot to help further this site w/out stepping on too many peoples toes.
I can't count how many threads I personally feel he should have locked and didn't out of respect for what someone had to say. It's that same respect that has put this site where it is now. And not to mention anytime I had a question no matter how stupid it sounded, he gave me a straight answer. I can only hope that the site and it's members will help in improving the site so that people like Nick and other shop owners will want to return and become an active part of this site.

I totally agree with everything you say man...we really do need to change the way we do things in certain sections of the site. We got the run your mouth section and what not for b-sing, other sections should be takin more seriously such as the classifieds. there really shouldn't be a need to talk about anything except what is for sale...don't mean to sound like a total strict ass about this, but things should really change...peace

here here on that I know i cause some of the stuff on" fargodrama" but still if people had that much of a problem withit they should have just left but lets try to bring this site foward to getting everyone, rice,muscle,pos u name it to stand together and get the race scene big in fargo

we don't want people to leave though, we want more people to come and respect us. the import scene has always wanted respect up here from the muscle car guy, this is why we don't get. if we would just act normal and civil and control ourselves people can come here and respect us. i use to be a frequent viewer of www.import-driven.com they are really good with keeping the off topic stuff in the right section and the tech stuff etc in the right section. they are also a lot like us a smallish site trying to get our feet off the ground. most of the talk does go on in the off topic section but the other sections are still there for when you do need them. and thats what this site should be like imo.

hey everybody,

let me start by saying, the people I made moderators, aren't the most active posters...

the reason I made the moderators is in interest of the site, and they have all agreed to leave thier personal opinion out of moderation; if we have a problem with this, it takes 2 seconds to remove them, this isn't a threat to any of them, i'm just stating why I have them setup as moderators.

look, i know it was a big deal and theres been like 2000 posts about what direction fargostreet should go. we can't go anywhere without trying new things, so why not give it a shot. people are going to act like babies, so be it, I dont care; if you can't see that fargostreet is all in fun, then thats fine, I've made some of the beggining changes to fargostreet, I take the time to maintain it, update it, and generally make it fun for everybody to use. if your still crying after i appoint non-partisian moderators, get a life.

on a happy note, i know alot of you visit here not so much for the cars, but for the general comradeary (spelling?), and that's what the arcade and the off topic forums are for. I know you all have the abililty to make personal judgement on whats appropriate in what forum!

look, i'm going to give you a straight up answer about how i feel about fargostreet if you ask it, its going to be my personal opinion, but that doesnt mean I don't take in to consideration how its going to affect everybody here...

we all know that there is some inherent bs on fargostreet, and its fun; so i guess all i ask is that nobody get thier panties in a bundle while we try new things here.
