I'd have to have about 30K more a year in base income before I could even think about a national rally. Oh yeah, and a bunch of experience running Group N, production class etc is required to Run open class. Also, I'd need to attend rally school for two sessions @ 5k a session. So in 2-3 years, i hope to make the shooting star rally, then maybe the 100 acre woods rally, then this.

you dont need any experience to run in this rally....but it cost 1k, and you probably break alot of parts too...so it would Cost ALOT...but what would be the point in entering if you didnt have any experience...

Anyways...I love watching their brakes...its really cool to see at night when they are glowing bright red.

any race promoter worth a dime wouldn't let someone with no experience run in Open class, it's a good way to get someone killed. My car no longer qualifies for anything other than open or M4 in Rally x

Do it John, I'd come watch. It doesn't look any more dangerous than an autocross, I think as long as you know what your limits are you will be fine.

I think you also need a cage and a ton of other safety type equipment to race this event that most of us don't possess. I'm with Colin though in thinking that they will let anyone run in the more "entry level" or "stock" classes, but they would be fools to let them run the open class with zero other rally experience.

So I was thinking about this, I didn't see the rules on this race, but in the US many of the stage rally races are run blind with pre-made pace notes....crazy.
