Pics of my 5 lug swap (240 haters and 56k GTFO)
-
I took about 30+ pics at 6 different spots, but only about 5 turned out really well which kinda irritated me. Of course I'm shooting with a crappy Nikon 'coolpix' camera, so my picture quality is DEFINETLY suffering because of that.
But yeah, here's pics, all thoughts/comments are appreciated.
(This was taken near the bridge by Cabela's, crossing the Red River)

(Taken on top of a parking garage in downtown Grand Forks)

(Same garage, 2nd level)

(Taken along the wall of Best Buy, the lighting was almost TOO good, haha)

I should have more pics next weekend, the car should look a little different then.

I saw the 240 at the track on the 7th and thought it was pretty nice, I liked the rims you had before but the new ones after the conversion give it some old school appeal.
From the track VVVVVVVVVV

But they just weren't wide enough, or low enough in offset.
Plus I've been dying to get the Enkeis on here, hahaha! Thanks again for the kind words!
Chris, it IS slow, you know this.

Why in the blue fuck would you make a thread about a 5 lug conversion then only put 4 lugnuts on each wheel?...LOLZ
:)... as far as im concerned that's still 4 lug y0OMG PWND by TORBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meshies are not my style, and nice not approved "roll cage"

Look closer, it has 5 lugs on each wheel. The car came with some goofed-up lugnuts and a special install/removal tool.
I used $0.25 lugnuts from Checkers in the spots where it appears that there are none. So yea, no ownage for you. Here's a cookie for your effort.

And Jon...don't hate because my new g-ride iscleanerthanyours. :icon_tongue: This car is a holler-back to the old skool flavor, in the days of hood-gapping and low offset 16" meshies. Something that a KA-T guy would know nothing about because he only cares about trucks and far-fetched claims about making torque with a 4 banger.
And I am not 100% sure about the roll bar being illegal for track use. I know Cusco's aren't legal, but I've heard differently about Safety21. Either way...this is the DD, not the track slut.

Did you only look at the pictures? Or did you actually see the car in person?
Because I'm pretty sure I've had these 5 lug components for over a year, and I've had the lugnuts for just as long. I could put nothing but the shitty Checkers lugnuts on them and it would look like there weren't any at all!
And I may be FTW, but you are definetly FTL. I am not a cheapass (like someone in this thread whose name starts with T and rhymes with Orbs) and count on 4 lugnuts to do the job when I should have 5.

I can not justify spending $300+ on a harness bar from sparco when I'll be getting a cage in the next year or two. There is no angle iron welded to my chassis. I reinforced my bumper support where it is cut up to clear my IC.
