I think it's because his downpipe is just on the other side of his firewall/floor from where his legs are, I think they make insulation for car floors, or would something like dynamat work for that?

Isn't dynamat just sound deading material? I don't know if it would have that great of heat resistant qualities.

Wrapping your down pipe in header wrap might help a bit.

Buy a large cooling fan for a computer tower and mount down somewhere so it blows on your feet, it's already 12v so you could just hard wire it to a toggle switch or a cigarette lighter plug so you turn it on or off when you want.

i really dont want to heat wrap stuff in my engine bay, cause it doesnt like water much from what I understand.

You could get that metallic heat tape (kinda like duct tape but with aluminum foil on the outside) and do the enging side of your firewall so that the heat coating deflects heat from absorbing into the firewall........i don't know how well it would work but it is cheap and available locally.

DYNAMAT makes a product thats kinda like the insulation on the underside of hoods . its just like an aluminum foil type material with some fiberglass or whatever they insulate with. its like an inch or so thick so i would assume it works pretty good.

or you could just put the vent switch to the one that looks like feet..... try it it might work.

I have a sticky tape stuff I use on my heat resivor. I messed with it. If the stick side is inbetween the heat and the "silver" side its worthless and falls off. It also falls off if it gets wet. So I am looking for something to put on the inside of the car. I am thinking of just sticking it to the carpet. I found one item but dont remember what it was but was over $50 a square foot and that is way to much.

I dont have AC so the fans on would just make it worse. What bothers me is cause the heat is on the floor not radiating so my shoes get really hot. I know some people that are gutted that have melted the bottom of there shoe.
