We about had a disaster working on my car today.......

lets just say gas was everywhere and an unhooked sparkplug wire set the whole engine bay on fire.... with flames taller than my head and me standing there like

didnt have a fire extinquisher and also found out that trying to beat a fuel fire out is not a good idea

needless to say pushed the car out of the garage with it onfire and then got a couple buckets of water, so about 2 mins of burn time. i dont know how it didnt burn more than what it did becasue the fire was HOT

moral of the story.... fire extinquishers are a good thing

FWIW, I sell clean chemical extinguishers that won't destroy all your electronics like a regular ABC rated extinguisher would. Have them in nice little 5# canisters in polished aluminum even. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Well 2 for 2 on Mazdas, had a nice carb spray fire last night. My buddy had it out with water before I got to the fire extinguisher and back. Burnt up some plug wires and vacuum lines that had grease on them but she still runs. :icon_cheese:
