tintmasters CAR SHOW GF
-
Pretty much. Kirk (STi) and I drove out there, only to find the car show consisted of:
A few neons, a few cavaliers, a stock corvette, two airbagged corveets, the "aztek" escalde, a couple of integras, couple of civics, S4, and a few WRX's.
I can't really say that ANY of the cars were show quality, atleast in terms of actual car shows. Most cars were 98% stock interior (2% being cd player and shift knob, perhaps some neon), and body kits.
I was fairly disappointed, especially for the drive; there were just a few out of all of those cars which actually were well rounded in terms of looks and performance.
Perhaps the Fargo one will be better, although $35 seems like a bit much for a car show which doesn't really contain all that many cars.

I went there, entered, dyno'd, and had a good time. I think the weather scared off a lot of people. I think, but I'm not sure, I had the highest RWD dyno numbers of the day too.
I was going to go, but found out at 2:30 that it was going to end at like 4 or 5.
You dynoed your bike right? What's it putting down?

I appriciate everyone that came out to the show. We ended with a total of 32 cars. We lost about 20ish cars that were comming from Canada. Plus I had a huge # of calls from people all over the state, wondering about the weather. We got super lucky that the weather held out till about 3:30 We would have liked to run until 6 like last year. The Grand Forks show last year had 60 entries. SO as I feared the weather scared people off. Not much I could have done about that.... As to the comment about the quality of cars that showed.. Again, not under my control, and I am sorry they weren't to some of this boards standards. A "show" car is classified by the owner of the individual vehicle. Something that you may not like might be looked at differently by someone else. If you guys were looking for HIN style cars....... well sorry guys. The 75 miles you drove didn't get you to Chicago. I thought that all the cars entered were great. "stock" or not. We are looking for a better turn out at the Fargo show on Aug. 28th. This should give everyone time to create a real "show stopper" Good job to EVERYONE who took the time to clean up their cars and take a chance on the weather.
A quick note: Anyone who registered for the GF show. When you register for the Fargo show we will have a list of who was in the GF show and take $5 off the registration. The show cost is $25 for preregistration and $30 the week before. Not bad concidering every time I go to HIN or iREV or any show that size the cost to enter is $50+ and walking away with a trophy there aint easy.......
thanks again
