Police Scanners
-
Does anyone know a good website that sells decent police scanners? They seem to be the one thing Google sucks at finding. Preferably a non-ebay site too if possible...

I got mine at Pamida (if you remember what that is) and it was really good. I think it is cobra.

Well what good is a scanner then? Can't we at least tell when they are around? so we can keep an eye out and make sure we steer clear of e'm.It's illegal to have a scanner in your car...

It is very illegal to have one in your car yes, but at least back home they didn't have anything fancy so we could always listen for when they were going to bust anything and tip people off. F&F style.

wrong...in minnesota its a $300 ticket and the confinscate it....
Wrong again
How do you bring the scanner home from WalMart, teleport it? You can have them in your car they just cant be in your possession/accessible nor can they be on.

they're legal in North Dakota and minnesota as long as thier off.
if not...then the cop and the judge lied to me in court!

legaly you really cant transport them unless it is in your trunk, and they may even go as far as having it in the box it came in... as for it being off... thats wrong... if its inside your car (not including your trunk)... the cop can take it and you can get a ticket for it even if it is off... i know i got a ticket for this, and the damn thing didnt even work, the cop even tryed to pick up him and couldnt.... i hired a lawyer to fight it.... $300 ticket... dosent go on your record, no points...
