black is ready for the track?
-
We are taking my black car to the track tomorrow, everything isn't quite as finished as I'd like it to be but with the end of the racing year coming up quickly it will have to do. I'm guessing we'll be doing quite a bit of struggling, setting up the chassis and tuning the engine at the same time. Oh, and we are trying CO2 for boost control also, so that should be interesting. It should be a fun weekend if the weather is decent.

Thanks to everyone who helped out. Elite chassis for the initial cage and front end work. Laske Fabrication for the sweet backhalf work and cage modifications. SLS for the beautiful header and intercooler piping and of course Mr Faul for helping with lots of misc stuff.
A little Tjamz action.

The car ran good, but unfortunately we struggled with datalogging and getting the wideband working, so basically we made no progress with the car today. The maiden voyage down the track was a 10.27 @ 131 mph, I was really surprised that it went that well. After that we made 4 more passes with the same setup trying to get some datalog info that we could tune with, but we got nothing. So we didn't dare try to raise the boost since we had no idea what the a/f ratio was. I borrowed a wideband from Kevin so hopefully we can make some progress tomorrow. I'll have a vid posted shorty.
Congrats to Paul (silver GS300) for running a 10.9X @ 126 mph.

Tufte in the white hatch ran some 10's too, but not sure if they were quicker than the last time out?
It was cool to see some of the FS dudes out there: Dustin, Bryce, etc.

Yeah i went quicker 10.68@135. If i recall i think Paul trapped in the 130's when we went heads up on his 10.9 pass, that thing hooks pretty good for radials.
