Campus Police or Fargo Police (parking)
-
I didn't want to pay $110 for a permit that would only let me park in the dome lot (that was all that was left by the time I checked) so I've been parking on streets near campus instead. Lately while looking for spots I've noticed tons of cars have tickets under their wipers even though they aren't "illegally" parked. On MWF I usually park next to a sign that says "NO PARKING, TUE. THURS. SAT., 1AM-7PM, Nov1 to Apr 15" and then park elsewhere on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Then 2 Fridays ago I got a parking ticket while parked next to this sign, along with every other car on that side of the road...I obviously appealed it and haven't heard anything back which means the appeal was approved (based off what the City of Fargo site says). I started watching last week and this week now and the fuckers are still handing out tickets on dates that are legal to park and it's really getting on my nerves.
What is so fucking hard for the officer to understand about those signs? It's a waste of my time/gas to go to the goddamn Civic Center and appeal a ticket every time officer fucknuts forgets what "TUES THUR SAT" means and is getting really fucking old. If it's legal to park somewhere one should expect not to be hassled by these annoying parking tickets shouldn't they? I understood the first ticket but honestly it gets fucking old really fast...anyone else had problems like this parking near NDSU?
From now on when I park there I'm leaving a piece of paper on the dash that says "HEY ASSHOLE IT'S LEGAL TO PARK HERE MONDAY/WEDNESDAY/FRIDAY" or something like that I think.

If it's legal for me to park there then lick my nuts. $110 is a fucking ripoff anyways...

the dome lot is a long ways away from anyhting last year i had the lot exactly on the opposite side of the BSA and that was still a hell of a walk everyday so i would have to agree with you on those passes being ripoffs big time

If it's for a year that's not to bad a price to pay considering all the BS tickets they seem to be writing and having to put up with the hassle, maybe the campus cops need to learn to read better so they read more words other than just "NO PARKING", apparently the small details mean nothing just as long as it says that. On the other hand, if your going to school you shouldn't have pay to park in the fargodome lot, especially if there's nothing going on or there's obviously enough parking spaces. I can see them charging something to park there to keep the riff raff out, if they didn't it'd look like walmarts parking lot, full of campers x100. I'm sure it'll go up more with there, I believe, $30 million dollar expansion. If they need money that bad then they actually need to book some decents events that a lot of people are going to go to, how many times can they book Lorie Line before people get bored with her.

I hate assholes who are too cheap to buy a parking permit so they clutter up the streets surrounding campus.HOLY FUCK! For once I actually agree with CMK. I used to live a block south of campus on college street in a building where there was no parking lot and I usually had to park at least 3 blocks away from the apartment during school hours. It was fucking ridiculous, especially with the higher rents around campus.

park in T lot. I worked for NDSU and they only have 1 employee working 10 hrs. a week writing out tickets, but there hiring more soon...
I think they've already done that because I tried to sneak by with last years R lot permit...got caught the first day and once again so I decided I was done with that. Every MWF when I'm walking to class I see a kid walking around 2 lots in-campus (don't remember which) writing tickets and other days I see that gay little tripod police-mobile driving around R or inner-campus lots checking permits. They've really beeed up the Parking enforcement...ichibankilla;189228 wrote:

I parked in the 30 minute zones just south of the high rises and in the west end of T lot for evey class I had last year and never got one ticket. The year before that I used the pay lot right in the middle of campus since it made getting around 100x easier.

thats what I did when I only have one seperate class... but when you have 2 classes in a row on T,TH, it doesn't work since they have a 2hr max. that really pisses me off... -
I'm not planning my schedule around a bus. That's not the damn issue anyways, the issue is that the assholes handing out these tickets are retarded and shouldn't be allowed to hand out ANY citations of ANY sort if they can't even fucking comprehend a sign. The city labeled those spots as perfectly legal parking spots on MWFSun therefore everyone who parks there shouldn't have to worry about being ticketed by some dumbass who can't understand that. How many people blindly pay the ticket thinking they parked illegally when in fact they did nothing wrong? That's bullshit, regardless of how stupid they are for not checking before paying.

Its on on-campus circulator, its not like there is only 1 every hour. Are there time limits on the parking area? Where exactly were you given the ticket?
No there are no time limits, I took a picture of the sign for proof. It was on 14th ave by 10th st (the 1 way heading north). The sign read EXACTLY what I typed out..."NO PARKING, NOV1-APR15, 1AM-7PM, TUE THU SAT"

LOL traffic cops, working in a college writing tickets, and it seems they didnt pass third grade spelling and english, or.... maybe he has coke bottle glasses and cant read the fine print on the sign.
