wow, your an idiot. the wind blows and you change your mind, start to think about things, or sell that car so you dont fuck it up. Do you think your just gonna bolt on a couple parts and have a reliable 400hp car or something? Most of us ( me included, twice now)have shit tore apart for 6 months to a year to do major surgery like adding a turbo. Get a fuckin clue or quit posting stupid ass threads. Your pissing me off, nice car like that and you dont have a fuckin clue.

GaryDude, what do you expect from a 16 year old kid? Back the fuck off.
-
Again, all I can say is what do you expect from a 16 year old kid...Just relax...
BTW Gary, I have NO PROBLEM WITH YOU. You seem to have a very wide knowledge about this kind of stuff and all the advice that you have given is great. Keep it up. SO just brush the whole thing off and just be chill.
-
I have met both of you. The best advice from me. Keep the car stock. save up your money do not buy ANY parts. Do lots of reading and decide exactly what you want to do, down to each part and write it down with how much its going to cost. Being 16 you will have to realize that you are building on a budget. As well as the fact that you are doing this to what is probably your only car. So that means you need to keep it realiabe, so no cutting corners.
If you want to keep that car, no matter what you do if you want more power you well need certain things.
#1 5-speed swap
#2 Go over rest of car fix all minor things as minor problems can cause big problems with big HP(aka you fuel gauge and upgrade your fuel pump while in there.........) Vacuum lines all the other stuff, your car is like 20years old
#3Upgrade you suspension, even just struts and springs and new bushings well make the car completely differant. If applicable get subframe spacers.
#4Brakes Stainless lines, good rotors and pads(IE not parts store brand)After this your car well react much differant, handle and stop better, and probably be a bit faster. After this your car will be ready for the newfound power you want. But DO IT RIGHT
and why the hell do you want a sentra motor and sentra motors and 200sx motors are completly differant. That goes for the EDM 200sx(aka silvias). The only USDM Nissan motor besides 300zx motors you should even thing about putting in is the KA24DE. You would want a S13 sr20det. which can be done, but will take fab work you are 16 are probably not able to do or afford others to do for you.
Look for a wrecked z31 turbo, and then swap ALL the parts over motor/wiring/tranny.........
-
Yeah, the whole 200sx thing is stupid and you know it. Stay away from them seeing as how they are only 4 door mommy cars. There's nothing special about them, swapping motors and stuff isn't what you are going to be able to do being as how young you are unless of course you saved up for a little while, bought a civic hatch and put a D16 in it. Like we have talked about, this isn't a weekend project. Espicially seeing as how you are going to replace the CROSSMEMBER and motor mounts. This is why I never really sought to far to do anything with my car seeing as how it's an Auto NA car. In my opinion, probably one of the worst investments you could ever make. To everyone who hasn't bought a car mainly the younger minds....DO NOT BUY AN AUTOMATIC NA CAR! You may have plans, but 95% chance says your not going to carry out with them.

I was like you once, dude do whatever you want, don't let anyone tell you what or what not to do, but when someone has insight.advice take it! my biggest problem is I never did anything slowly. If I could do my cars all over again, I wouldve done exterior mods, then engine mods while having another car to drive, not worrying about whether I have a car to drive to school/work the next day. wait til you have some money, no one expects you to build a 300hp turbo car when you are 16...

-
Yes, if he really want to put a sr20 in it, go for it. But its going to cost HUGE amounts of money. not only in fabwork, but hardcore custom wiring........
a 200sx motor, is worse then what he has now. they are 1.6L in the new ones some had the 3.0 but the 300zx motor was better. and some newer had the SR, which is not able to be made rwd for huge $$$

I also have to strongly disagree with joel, i think from what we have heard from these 2, if they did there own thing, they would both be broke and without a working vehicle. I am all for doing your own thing and for uniqueness, but you guys obviosuly have no clue what you are doing so learn from others.
-
I have been searching around and found some unique stuff to do to my car, I didnt really mean to get anyone pissed about me changing my mind in such a short time but I was frustrated and I am thinking now I will just slowly build up my car and take my time with it....I am in no hurry whatsoever. and as for "buying a nicer, newer, faster car....I dont have the money.
