Custom Stereo Installs
-
I am getting back into doing custom stereo installs for anyone who is interested (and willing to pay the price.) Mostly I am trying to stay away from basic installs and just doing the more crazy stuff (Fiberglass, Motorization, Plexi, Custom Enclosures, etc...) Also, I (generally) do not sell any product, it would be up to you to provide the product for the installs (In other words buy it, then bring it to me for installation). I do have some DVD/LCD combos that I have wholesale access to (Including HDTV capable monitors).
A little background on me. I started installing stereos for myself and my friends back in 1989. Upon completing HS I attended Mobile Dynamics in Toronto (actually Richmond Hill, Ont, Canada) to learn some of the more advanced techniques. In 1994 I worked briefly for Northwest Audio before heading to Williston to work for Stereo West as their install manager. Eventually I realized that the owner of Stereo West and myself did not see eye-to-eye so I moved to Minot and worked for Roadsounds from 1995 to 1996. Then as (bad) luck would have it, I met my first wife and moved to the Rugby area to be with her. While in Rugby I ran a business called Trafik Jamz (hence my login name of tjamz) and concentrated primarily on Remote Starters and Alarms, though I still was actively installing systems in my vehicles and those of my friends. I eventually got divorced from my first wife and moved to Devils Lake where I met my current wife. I had decided that remote starts and alarms where a bit hard on my back so I quit doing them, except for close friends/family. I had all but forgotten about audio systems until my brother-in-law approached me about building a system in his vehicle. He wanted something a little different than most people in town have, a full custom trunk, a custom dash bezel, etc. Well, that alone sparked my interest again in car audio. Next thing I know we go to Devils Run and manage to qualify for USACI world finals. I am re-hooked again on car audio and decided it would be a great way to make some extra cash.
So if you guys need any custom installs done, don't hesitate to shoot me a PM or email. We will discuss pricing after I have seen the vehicle and bounced some ideas off of you.
Sorry this got to be such a long post, I was trying to give you all a little background on my car audio experiences, hoping that you would realize I am not some hack-job rookie trying to scam people out of their hard earned $$$$

Yeah, I'm definately interested. Doesn't sound like it will be just too hard to do either. Just so everyone knows, I know my limits, I am definately NOT on the same level as Dave "Fishman" Rivera (not many people are), so don't expect that level out of me. I will keep it clean and try and be somewhat inventive in my installs. Let me know exactly what your buddy wants in there, and I will be upfront in telling you if I can/cannot do this for him. -
Hey man i'm glad you took my suggestion seriously and got back into something you love doing. I"ll be looking you up for sure when i do the stereo setup for my GTZ.
If you need some business cards or something made up, hit me up on AIM, my fiance is a graphics designer and loves doing business cards and flyers.

Yeah, I am in the process now of doing a setup in my brother in laws Blazer, fairly simple, straight forward deal, but consists of a 3 way front stage, 2 way rear fills, and (eventually) some VERY custom enclosures for his subs (pics will be available as we progress on that). As for the business cards/fliers/etc, I am going to just use word of mouth for now and then as need be will make some cards myself (rather my wife will, shes better at it than me)
