"Las Vegas Buffet"...FTMFL
-
I drive by the new little strip mall on 45th street (across from Krolls) everyday on my way to work. I have been planning to make it out for a dinner here every since I heard it was opening... Finally a buffet with a huge selection and cool atmosphere....WRONG. Not only does it have NOTHING to do with a Vegas theme, it has nothing a Las Vegas Buffet has. Food is honestly D+ at best, and presentation is a solid "F". The decor is strictly Japanese/Chinese, and the process of paying/getting seated/getting drinks/etc... is time wasting and very inefficient. They used a white granite flooring, that is obviously disgusting after a few cycles of families through the doors... The complete experience was... not good.
The only thing I can say remotely positive about this place is the cost for a dinner buffet on a Friday night is $9.99... However I still don't believe I ate $10 in food...I really wish they would have charged a bit more and offered a lot more.
I am not usually a "negative-nancy" about many things, but I strongly suggest saving your $10 person and going to Mcdonalds...truthfully.

I thought it was going to be another steak buffet by the name not yet another Chinese buffet. Like we need any more chines buffets in town.
On a side note i heard awhile back that we were getting a buffet named
Golden Corral.
They have one in both Bismark and Grand Forks. I ate at one in Omaha and it was one the best buffets i have had. -
I usually stick to The Great American Steak Buffet for american style food and Giant Panda for chinese, although the chinese buffet on 32nd Street is pretty damn good also. I may try the Las Vegas one anyways someday, different people can have different experiences and I usually give places the benefit of the doubt. But yeah, from the looks of the place it would seem to or at least you would think it would have a Vegas theme and a huge Vegas style buffet. I drove by where they're building the Golden Corral in Fargo some time ago but I'll be damn if I can remember where it was.

Damn! I was looking forward to that one.. Like another poster said, it's another chinese buffet, like we need another one. The best one I think for chinese is 32nd ave. Some days Royal Fork is better than Steak Buffet, but I hear Golden Corral will blow both of them out of the water...
Can't wait
I'll probably still try the Vegas one, just so I've had the chance to try it.. -
had one in Orlando a long time ago.
it sucked lol

golden corral ftw. build one of those here in fargo instead of a shitty chinese place.

China King in West Fargo = best China, followed closely by King House downtown.

Things such as throwing food in the dumpster when the health inspector comes and pulling it back out after he leaves. One of the O Leary's employees worked for Simplex for a while and we tried to get O Leary's to put up a camera & DVR aimed at the dumpster to catch them in the act. O Leary's management didn't like the idea of spying on their neighbors garbage though, so the idea was shot down.
I'd have to agree about King House being a good buffet...my favorite Chinese restaurant is Great Wall on S University, no buffet but very good food.

When I worked at Multiband most of the IT staff would go to China King once a week and I never got sick so I'm going to chock that up to stories.
Haha.
