Tire Studding
-
I was talking with Joel about some snow tires but his probibly won't work w/o messing up my speedo. So i wanted to see if I could get my 14's studded two of them are in pretty good shape and I could get some more for pretty cheap but I want to be able to drive almost normal this winter. Is there someone in town that does this mounting, and balancing are no problem I just want to stay cheap and use my 14 in wheels so I can just change rims come spring and not tires.

Both Fargo and Moorhead locations does them for approx $10 a tire, plus mount/balance/stems if not already on the wheel. Second, make sure your tires are studable before pursuing this. You'll see tiny little holes evenly spaced around the tread. I have seen customers come in wanting to stud non-studable tires and we are not able to due so due to coorperate policy, along with laws and regulations (last I was informed).
