for those of you that dont want to read the whole thing, its about why it doesnt make sense to have a huge horsepower car as a daily driver as well as why it isnt safe. im certain that some of you could add to this

I can agree with some of that. There is exceptions, I have scene 500whp car that are still streetable and reliable. You dont have to go WOT every time you drive the car. My car may not be 500whp, but it is more then enought to scare people and sometimes myself. With that kind of power, one mistake could be your life.

I disagree with the 500 HP. Now if I was 16-25 that would be a whole different story in itself. My car had over 500 before the turbo's. Straightshots were no problem (my car) was I going to shit can it around a corner, I don't think so. Would I have the same opinion with stock suspension probally not. I have not had any FWD car over 350 HP but I would imagine that would be a handfull too to most people.

500 Is doable for most budgets and I'm shooting for that myself, but honestly you can make more, a lot more, and be safe and reliable if you know what you are doing. That 55 shoebox I helped build made over 700 at the wheels but was tame as a kitten when you didn't get on it. It had a completely revamped suspension from a c4 vette, huge brambos, and wide sticky tires, to go along with those 700 ponies.

very true, but this story is very false. He speaks of not wanting a high HP big turbo car because, well, they just suck balls on the street. I can honestly say that I have absolutely NO problems driving my car and it has a good bit over 500whp. when you have decent motor to begin with and dont have to depend solely on boost to make power, and god forbid, have a little torque, its easy. I DD mine alot, about 10k miles this year. Honestly its no different than driving a stock camaro around or something, until you floor it of course.
BTW, i think the main problem with alot of people and this much power stems from using manual transmissions. Heavy clutches that are grabby and choppy idle dont make for easy cruising. Autos FTMFW yo.
