Finally Got my camera!

Got a Canon Rebel XTi w/ 18-55 lense. Been messing around for a while tonight. Lots to learn. I actaully was getting some pics to turn out in full manual towards the end. Havn'y gotten them on a computer yet. But.......
Hard to get used to having to look through the eye piece again

the drebel XT is fantastic. I've got the 6MP one with the kit lens, and a separate zoom lens. I took my setup down to the 2006 F1 race and shot several GB of photos... they looked really, really amazing. My wife now uses the d rebel for all her "around the house" shots of our son as well, the pictures it takes look great even with the in-box glass.
i've got the original EOS Rebel Film body as well from like 15+ years ago. The lenses all interchange with each other. It's a great system.
I used my digital rebel to solve a crime, actually. Some kids egged my house and then drove back by a little later. I snapped them as they were speeding away with the drebel, and because the res was so high i was able to zoom in and read the plate #. Cops had a confession out of them that evening, and I was able to get them to pay for the window they broke in my house and for the carpet cleaning we needed.
(I wonder if any of those kids are on here, actually)
