Well lets see from the pic I can see that it's a JDM 83-87 Civic Si hatch, most likely has the old brown top dohc zc engine in it, of course RHD beings its JDM, and is sitting on 15" Mugen MR5's, which are some pretty baller wheels....so in conclusion its a pretty cool carMeh looks like a lunchbox to me, the wheels are pretty cool tho. Why the hell would right hand drive make it any cooler? You could be a mail carrier I suppose. So if I put my steering wheel on the wrong side of my car it would be cooler?

So if I put my steering wheel on the wrong side of my car it would be cooler? You car would never be cool...no matter what u do to it. The rhd makes it cool because it's JDM...and it's stuff they never sent over to the states. Honda basically gives us the toned down versions of their cars. For example the CRX SiR in japan had power everything a B16 and glass top, all we got was a sun roof, D16A6 and manual everything....But then again u arent into imports so you probably wouldnt understand....

Who said i'm not into imports? I hate honda's, but there are a lot of imports I like, some i'd even own and drive. I just happen to believe in bang for the buck, i.e. you can make a camaro go 8's for around 10k but could maybe get a honda into the 10's with the same budget. I just don't understand why JDM stuff is cooler, because it comes from japan its somehow cooler. Not at all in my mind. I completely understand that the american market got watered down versions, but I'm sure there are a lot of reasons why.

I can easily get a honda into the 10's for 10k probably even less...many ppl have done it before (i'm sure SLS has less than that into the white hatch), show me a bunch of camaro that run 8's for 10k (including the price of the car)... Hell Bisimoto has a NA SOHC Non-Vtec honda that runs 9's, it's the only all motor import in the 9's on gasoline...

haha, for the set up in the white hatch there is no more than $10g's, wes you are silly. All it has is a B16 with rods and pistons, an SLS turbo kit, hondata if i remember correctly, wheels and suspension. He was running 10's with an ITR lsd also, so if he upgraded that it would be better. I would say you could build the car for about $6-7k easily.

I can see some of the stuff that we cant get here being cool. But the same parts just manufactured in japan are not cooler and the fact that the steering wheel is on the wrong side doesn't add to the cool factor. So what if it Honda didnt see fit to bring that SiR over here, fucking build one. Ford didnt see fit to put some goodies on the cougars, even the XR7's, so I did. If you think back to when that car was built how many people were into fast honda's? Not very many. The US market was dominated by other "actual" performance vehicles, and honda obviously didnt want to stick its nose where it didnt belong.

Wow you're fucking dumb...it's true with most cars a car is cheaper than the sum of it's parts...
You think hondas are fast and I'm the dumb one, why are there no hondas winning the 24 hours of Le Mans, or any NHRA races. A car is more than the sum of all its parts, but I could rebuild my cougar with all new parts for a lot less than buying a new car. Let alone a sweet cougar like Eric's 86 vert http://www.coolcats.net/eric/86convertible/archive.html -
That's cuz the cougar is made in the US for the US and parts are easier to find...have u seen how rare some JDM parts are and how hard they are to get...I dont think so.... Lets see u can get a stock low mile SiR from Canada for round $5-6 grand...to build one - clean shell $1000 (which is hard to find itself), Full front clip around $4000, doors 500 or so, glass top - $750-1000, bronze glass - $500-1000, rest of the body, taillights etc - $500-1000, interior and all accessories - $1000-2000, labor and time to put it all together properly - a lot, roof and rhd clip conversions have to be done perfect and it isnt the easiest thing in the world to do...but u wouldnt know cuz u've never done one or seen one done have u...
That cougar looks like an ugly POS to me....
Oh and if Honda sucks so much at racing tell me this...Who makes all of the Indy Car engines....
Also, looks at the winners throughout the history of NHRA Sport Compact Drags...a good majority of FWD, All-Motor, etc. winners were hondas...
