Where would be the cheapest local place to buy a Remote Bass Controller? I figure places like Team/Site on Sound would have them but would they suck as far as prices?

Reason being...I hooked up subs to my stock stereo in the Lexus and there is WAYY too much bass, I have the bass cranked all the way down and it still sounds like it's full blast on the stock setup. If you turn up the volume even the tiniest bit off of mute it's like there is full bass, kinda sucks.

Turn down the gain on the amp? Are you using a line level converter?

Yeah I still have to mess with the amp settings but I know it doesn't completely solve the problem. My friend was having the same issues in his 350 and we turned the gain down to almost nothing and adjusted the converter and it still was overly loud.

And you think a remote bass control will fix it?

if the gain control on the amp doesnt fix that.....a remote bass knob isnt going to help you one bit.

btw...did you ever replace the wiring in your mustang so that ma audio amp would work correctly?

For once I agree with you.

No because it was the amp that wasn't working properly, not the wiring or anything else. I've had 0 problems since I replaced the amp.

Remote Bass control is wonderful! I have it in my jeep and it can dramatically change how loud the subs are. However, you should adjust the amp first.

The remote bass knob is nothing more than a gain control. So, like Jon says, if turning the gain down doesnt help, then a remote knob will not help one bit.

Well if it controls the gain then I'll at least have some control up front with the bass control. I won't have to worry about waking up neighbors when I start my car in the morning and have it on what I thought was mute but really was the next setting above it blaring full bass.

I love mine because if i want, I can turn my subs down to pretty much nothing. But If i want more bass I can do that to. The remote will not make the subs quieter then when the gain is all the way down, or louder then when its all they way up. And, I can do this all from my drivers seat and not have to up bolt and take the wires loose to get to my subs.

How big is the amp? You amp may be to big for the rest of your stereo, even on low gain.
