palm treo 700 w/ verizon

anyone have this phone and can help me?

When I text, I can only have up to 160 characters. Fuckin annoying. Is there anyway to make it so I can type more? I mean shit, on my last phone (wasnt a smart phone), I could type 160 characters per page and I could use 7 pages. I'm only to assume there is a way to change this?

Any help would be useful.

Its just verizons way to make you pay more. If you are texting verizon customers you can text as long as you want. Non-verizon nexts get cut off at 160 when they are sent. and then they send you a gay text say some shit about it. At least thats how it is on my lg8700

my lg8600 i can text 160x7 characters. to any provider. this palm, i can only do 160 characters to any. ima go talk with them fags today.

I have had the 700p for a few years now (with Sprint), and unfortunately I the 160 characters are a device issue. I know most of my other past PDA's were the same way. You'll get used to being creative and short with your texts.

Does the 755p utilize the blazer browser or the horrible windows mobile? I have been wanting to upgrade my treo, but wasn't sure if palm went strictly to windows mobile or not.
