So yesterday we traded in the wife's 04 lancer ES (no cruise, smelled like smoke, auto tranny was slipping, cigarette burns in the seats, 70K miles, pile of shit) and they gave us (surprisingly) $5500 for it so we picked this up.

2001 tahoe LT, heated leather seats, front/rear heat/ac, heated mirrors, electronic seat position memory, towing package, roof rack, etc... pretty much every available option for this except the sun/moon roof and the dvd player. It's got a little higher mileage that I would like but all the major problems have already been taken care of (intake gaskets, fuel pump, alternator, fpr) 🙂

nope...def. going to get rid of the runing boards and get chrome nerf bars though (and possibly a cattle pusher). probably the only mod to this one..

        something along these lines

          nerf bars are yawn.
Running boards are like 8 bolts each side.
Go Rhino makes a nice piece for the front. I'm a fan of black, but that's me.
          I hope it's got a G80...
          3:73s?
Keep throwing fuel filters in it. That's the cause of the pump problems.

          lets see...

I'm anal to my customers about fuel filters on gm trucks, no need to tell me about it. 🙂

            JDM no center cap mod?

I was just happy it was out of the garage at that time. It was sitting in the garage for about a month and a half before that. Stripped all the factory peeling liner out of the wheel wells and laid on a coat of POR15 in the wheel wells, inner rockers, and parts of the frame. Then top coated the wheel wells with Herculiner. Debadged the back while I was at it. Wheels were on and off a couple times in there and the center caps just never got put back on for a month or so.

needs new shoes though. 16x8 Cragar Soft 8 and 285/75/16 BFG A/Ts (or I'll just get the larger version of the firestones I've got now and am happy with)

I'm not saying you are yuppies. It just seems ironic, thats all. Sweet truck, sounds like you will use it for its intended purposes, not as a 4wd minivan.
