Which politician do you stand closest to?
-
This is for those that don't really know who they stand closest to...I think this site is AWESOME (I'll make a small "awesome" so Wes doesn't have an anurism(sp?) hehe) for comparing...It had the exact 3 as my top that I thought.
- Ron Paul
- Mike Huckabee
- Fred Thompson (even though he's withdrawn)
Hilary was least compatable with my views...that figures...try it out and see what happens when you take the test...you'll be surprised

-
Your position in comparison with the candidates.
You have responded to 36 propositions. Based on the responses you provided, you are the closest to
Ron Paul and you are the furthest away from Fred ThompsonI am so close to the middle dont see myself fully in agreeance with anyone. I see to lean a lil low ant to the left. Haha.... aint that the truth. LITERALLY.

Ron Paul & John McCain are closest
Barack Obama is furthest
cool site btw, i'll show that one to my gov. teacher
-
i landed right on ron pual..... hahah it is pretty damn acurate
-
Paul, McCain and Romney here. Pretty much landed right on Paul.

I hate to change the subject from a websight...but Obama has been coming up in a lot of people as being distant...Here's why (IMO)...
On paper, Obama is even more liberal than Hilary...look at his voting record and his beliefs if you don't believe that statement. Obama himself and the media portray him as this moderate democrat that some republicans like (all republicans that switch to Obama...seriously...get a f'n education)...oh and you can't forget his favorite word...CHANGE...after the word change he just forgot to add the words "to socialism"...aka CHANGE TO SOCIALISM...
Bottom line...unless Ron Paul or even Huckabee pulls something off amazing on Tuesday...America is officially fucked for the next four years (and that's straight talk unlike McCain, that liberal wanting to stay in Iraq for 100 years bullshitter). At the very least, Ron Paul has started something that has been waiting to be brought up for years...and it truely is a revolution...Even if we have to live four more years with a shitty executive branch, I think we can all agree that by the time of the next election that even more people will be involved in the revolution...will it be the Ron Paul Revolution Part II? Who knows...He'd be 76 at the time...Not saying it isn't possible, just throwing out that his age may become a factor...
The longer the revolution boils...the larger it becomes...
Four years of shittier gov't with years of prosperity to come sounds a lot better than going completely bankrupt and higher taxes forever...
...with all this said...I still hope something amazing happens on Tuesday...I'd rather avoid the whole four years of shit again but if it's what happens, we'll give it another run in four years...
And in addition...I now know that even if Ron Paul isn't running...he'll still get my write in.
Sorry for the long post in this...but i've been watching a bunch of Ron Paul vids the last couple hours and just felt the need to say something...
/end of speech

I do like the vision and goals of Ron Paul the most, but I was closest to Obama. I wish some of the questions were less vague, particularly the one that was something about crimes having a mandatory minimum sentence. I think more serious crimes should, while petty things don't need one.

What I'd like to see is a chart that says what exactly is similar/different from one to the other. Some things I disagree w/ politicians on, but they aren't the key issues for me. There is no way I will ever vote Clinton, and she's closer on my political spectrum than Obama. Also, there is no way that I'd ever vote Romney, and he's in my circle. Some things weigh out differently than others for me I guess. Like universal healthcare, which is probably what puts me farthest from the 2 remaining Dems, I don't put much weight on that aspect of it, as I know that it will never get passed by either of those two, so it doesn't bother me that they take that stance. This is just one example why I won't let a "test" determine who I vote for in any election....if I did, I wouldn't be saying that Obama is my #2 choice, as he is farthest from me on THIS TEST, on others he was very close.
