There seems to be quite a few on Car Domain. I just checked a couple profiles and they seem like pretty nice cars with a fair amount of potential, performance wise and visually.

Its the DOHC right? Not a good choice of an engine. Id stay away if i were you. Expensive as hell to get worked on. Cool car but not my first choice for pickin out a new ride. Maybe if i swap in the 3L. 🙂

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall
Torque is how far you take the wall with you

There's one that parks at my work parking lot occasionally and it actually looks pretty sharp.

They have decent acceleration out of the box but that's it. They are a plow in the handling dept and just like nearly every Ford car in that vintage, Coil springs break quite regularily. I don't have an opinion on the looks. It doesn't do alot for me but it doesnt repulse me either.

I bought and sold one this last summer. It wasn't a bad looking car, and it came well optioned. Acceleration was less then amazing, but not bad when compared with the civics and things like that in the same price point. Only thing I do know is once you start getting into neat parts, they cost you an arm and a leg. Just because there isn't as many people out there modifying them as there are the Hondas and such.

A co-worker of mine has a Mercury Mystique (with the same motor) and blew out his spider gears on the first launch of his car on track day.

They call me, old man...
