haha, that would be tits to do. call me a hick but i love feeling the torque that the 3406e cat puts down in the truck i drive when i mash the gas and grab the gears
-
hells yeah, they may be expensive to buy and maintain, but you cat beat the torque they put out and the overall reliability of them. we only buy trucks with 3406 cats, or 60 series detroits.

considering all the larger displacement engines (N14, 3406, ect.) make around 1500lb-ft at a 400hp level, id say there is a supple amount of TO
It would be scary to guess what an 1155 (19L) cummins in the in the old 1150/1155 Versatiles or Stieger Tigers would be putting out for TO
The other thing i wanted to point out is............. where are the V8's???:icon_puke_r:

like the motors we have in some of our built steigers -
^^ built steigers?..explain
-
ummm... well, its more of an in person experience... we have two built steigers both from 65ish i believe and we have a home made tractor we call the valey bee, built in about 64... the steiger brothers got their design for their cab from us back in the mid 60's... all three tractor house a 12cyl 2 stroke detroits.. over the factory 8cyl.... i believe thet are 2 are from generators used in some coal mine, and one is from some sort of naval military ship... the Valley Bee used to be entered in pulling contests, and it never lost a pull.... they used over 1200lbs of welding rod on the Valley Bee, and the front of the tractor is made from the steel of an old bank vault, the old Glyndon bank.... umm .. Questions?
-
wait...so you guys gave the steiger brothers your design for their cab in the mid 60's?
