Drake posting from SRT-4's account....If you know anything about computers and can pass an A+ cert test (REALLY friggin simple) I am looking for a part time tech who can do some of the work that I don't really care to do at Extant. I get stuck doing spyware/virus removal and just real mediocre crap that isn't worth my time with the other businesses I care for (I'm the MCSE rep so businesses running MBS products) we'd be willing to pay at about $12 an hour - call my cell phone or office for more details and just ask for Adam Drake.
Office - 701-235-6769
Cellular - 701-219-5726Thanks Drake, I tried to call you a few times, ur never there. Anywho...I took a practice A+ certification test, and I got like 40%. It was all about networks and routers, and workgroups and servers and shit. I know some of that, but obviously not enough. Is that what your test is all about too? Or is urs different...cuz it sounds like I would like that job. I love anything to do with computers.

Drake Posting again.....
Unfortunately my uncle past away this morning...so I am not in the office I saw that you called, just make sure to leave a voicemail and I will return it when I am in the office. A+ cert is certainly NOT difficult....I always joke that you can take them out of a cracker jack box now a days, so don't be too intimidated. Here's how it goes on the mentality list....From simple to complex....
Breathing
Articulate speach
walking
A+ Certification
Basic Algebra
and so forth....just make sure to leave a voice mail

ive been through the a+ course and it was a total breeze. the only thing that was a little difficult about it was memorizing all the different voltages for different things.. default I/O addys.. that kinda thing. its all mostly stuff that in real life you could easily look up.. but have to have it memorized for the test. other than that its cake.

SEI is a IT company that has offers help desk outsourcing. They offer help desks for Sonic, Jiffylube, McDonalds, Steak and Shake, etc. They're one of the largest help desk companies in the world. They also have a Microsoft desk here that sells or offers support for business solutions for microsoft products (not really sure on that part, since i've never worked with the microsoft people). But like i said, they pay good, and the job never gets boring.

Drake, i thought you said you and BlueSRT4 were moving to mpls this week sometime (think it was during chat last weekend...not sure) to attend Brown College and for some job offer you had. Just curious how you can offer someone a job at a company you won't be working at shortly....not trying to burst anyones bubble here, but I just was curious how this all works.

What do you do there?Sorry, I missed this post when you first posted it. I am a fire alarm inspector/technician. Basically, I walk around in buildings throughout the state checking fire alarms, replacing defective pieces and making sure that the fire alarm meets NFPA fire code. In other words, I carry a stick w/ a magnet attached to it and walk around buildings setting off their fire alarms
It's honestly the easiest job I've ever had. -

Ok, as of this morning my company (SimplexGrinnell) has an opening in our service sales department (you would be selling fire alarm inspection contracts, monitoring contracts, etc...) The pay is base plus commission and will require some travel. There is a lot of money to be made in this position but it does involve a lot of hard work. Requirements are: Minimal of HS Diploma; some sales experience is helpful, though not required; Ability to multitask; MUST pass a urinalysis and criminal background check. Company vehicle is provided.

I'll post more info as it becomes available...would be working out of the Fargo office but would cover a territory of all of ND, most of SD and about 1/3 of MN.
