Exhaust Dilemma Please Help
-
Ok so heres my dilemma, I want to get a catback exhaust for my G5, I have wanted the DC Sports System but its been backordered for over 3 months now due to being bought out by the chinese or something. Now to the real problem, they are the only company that makes a catback exhaust for my car with the "can" style muffler, besides Megan Racing and ive heard good and bad about them. So my question to you all is do i buy the megan racinfg exhaust or do i go with a more stock looking muffler and buy the magnaflow exhaust the price difference is around $200 the magnaflow being the more expensive of the two. All help/comments/suggestions appreciated!

what is the preference to the can?? lol... so people know "man he has an exhaust"
id give you 10x's more than any exhaust ever would at half the price with HP tuners
-
No, the preference to the can is that i am going to be putting a full RK Sport body kit on the car at some point in time and i think it would flow better having the can with the kit. Im not sure what you mean when you said this (id give you 10x's more than any exhaust ever would at half the price with HP tuners) are you saying you sell exhaust from a brand called hp tuners?
-
He is saying that for 1/2 the price, you can get 10x the performance gains with tuning. But tuning doesn't sound cool, and honestly, tuning a stock car won't do much, but neither will exhaust.
-
not looking for power i realize its not a fast car, im just trying to make it look nicer, mainly just looking to see how everyone feels about Megan Racing products. As for tuning, if i ever do anything worthwhile performance wise then i will get it tuned, as for now all i have planned is I/H/E

Meh i don't care so much about what my cars gonna be worth as long as i like it, im not going to be getting rid of it. I didn't buy it to be a good investment i knew right when i bought the car that it was going to be a money pit not an investment. So im fine with having more $$ into mods then its worth heck that wont take long at all with the stuff i want for it

And this my friends is what devalues nearly everything aftermarket within the industry. I don't hate on you for getting an account Faber, but rather Magnaflow for saturating a region with many dealers. I gave Shane a pretty good deal on the catback, and I hope you (Shane) see a value in that.

Welcome to every industry. That is what separates the men from the boys.

Not trying to ruffle feathers with my comment.
We do not like to compete with the lowball sellers on EBbay either; but, it is part of the game.
I do not have an account, the shop my Dad works for has one. He has been selling Magnaflow and other brands of exhaust, and Diesel Performance Products for many years (which is what his shop does). It just so happens some of the companies/product that he sells, also sell/make sport compact stuff. He does not go after the sport compact stuff, as 99.9% of the products that he sells go on diesel trucks. The other .01% is stuff that employees and their friends buy. As you know, the Aftermarket Parts Industry is an extremely competitive field. Ebay makes it even more so.

well im still thinking about which one to buy.............i like the style of the Megan better but i like the name magnaflow has built for itself and the good history they have with their products
