Perfect 10 Show - July 7th Update

After a great weekend in Winnipeg for the DTP show, I thought I would bring everyone up to speed with where we are at with the 2008 Perfect 10 Show.

As I have previously mentioned, Miss Perfect 10 2008, Tianna Ta will be hosting this years event. We have already received applications for a very WIDE array of vehicles for this years show. Keep in mind that Perfect 10 as a show does NOT cater to one type of vehicle. We welcome vehicles in all shapes and sizes. We are hoping to have a new trophy class for this years event, RALLY car. We have already received an application from the Zedril Mitsubishi Rally Team, and are in contact with a few others manufacturers to try and pull a group of Rally cars for this years show.

We also just picked up Monster Energy drink for a 2008 Sponsor!

Keep in mind, after the showing your car, come and let loose at the Official After Party at The Hub (www.thehubfargo.com) . The Hub offers 7 different bars within the same complex, with each catering to a different crowd.

There are a few changes to the After Party that I would like to inform everyone of:

*As a correction to the previous after party release, we have organized a tent party for outside the Hub for 18+. 21+ will be allowed inside OR outside (or both), 18+ will be outside. Lighting, Sound, DJ, and a party environment will make this outdoor 18+ event epic. The outdoor tent party is a first for The Hub, and Keith assured me that they are going ALL OUT for it. It will be massive, it will be a good time, and it will be ‘Perfect’.

**We decided against secured parking outside the bar for the show cars, this is a change we made simply to remove ANY risk of someone intoxicated damaging a show entries pride and joy. After the show, run back to your hotel and secure your vehicle, then grab a cab to the party of a lifetime. It is our way of giving back to everyone for making time for the P10 show!

The day following the Perfect 10 Show, come out to Interstate Dragways (www.interstatedragways.com) and spectate/take part in the ‘Tintmasters Street Legal Drags’. We will be hosting an event that is open to all street legal cars, enabling them to take their car down the ¼ mile and see what all that power car produce! Gates open at 10am and racing starts at noon. Everyone is invited!

Keep the registrations coming, we already have applications from 9 different clubs. This show is going to be awesome. I can’t wait to see everyone at the show!

its probably too much of a hassle sorting through people who are and arent over 21, plus if its only 21+ you can have drinks anywhere in the building.

The decision was completely out of our control, and it ended with the termination of an employee for StarMark Hospitality (The Hub). We went to contract with them in May, and within the contract was 18+ amongst many other specifics. The contract was signed and ready to go, and then I come to find out that The Hub didn't look far enough into the law BEFORE signing the contract. After 9:30pm their license does not allow for anyone under 21 in the facility. We have discussed a "Breach of Contract" lawsuit, but even if we were able to get a ruling in our favor, it wouldn't change the law. Legally it cannot happen, and the lack of 'homework' was not on our end. It is a poor situation, but the fact remains the the Perfect 10 Show is a show, not an After Party...It was just something we set up to top the night off. It didn't work out as well as we planned for, so we will adjust and move forward. I fought VERY hard for the 18-20 crowd, but I can't change laws. Signed contract or not. I will make sure there is something fun for EVERYONE to do, it just won't be as easy as going to "The Venue" as I initially hoped.

this doesnt make sense to me, how does deciding AGAINST secured parking remove the risk of a drunk idiot screwing up someones car? and how is that giving back to everyone? or are you talking about the party itself?

Removing a 'comfort level' for everyone by having 'secured parking' SHOULD make people more willing to leave their car somewhere away from the bar. I was a good idea, until I watched an idiot at DTP throw a bottle from a group of people into a parked car. The After Party/18+ event is something we are doing to give back to those that took part in the P10 party. I have a few things on the burner for the 18-20 crowd, so just sit tight.

I am working on getting Thunder Road from 11-? for the 18-20 year old to go and have a meet in the parking lot (it would hold 50 cars easy) and to do some go karting and mini putting. It would cost $10 at the door, but the after party was going to cost something as well. I haven't heard back yet, so nothing is in stone....I just want everyone to know we are trying to arrange something due to The Hub's error :mad:

I cannot answer that question. The Hub's statement strictly said "Due to our licensing on a regular night, we cannot allow individuals in the establishment after 9:30pm."

I argued for days, and got nowhere. The after party is honestly the least of my concerns as it is a car show. Focus on the show, I'll worry about what to do after.

I will vouch for Jason on this one. When I was last in TM he was damn near in tears/ready to pull his hair out due to this situation. I saw the contract they signed (originally he was pulling for 16+ to be allowed in, but they nixed that idea at the time of contract signing) and it was definitely under contract to be an 18+ show.

But like Jason has said, this is the after party, not necessarily a part of P10, but something special they tried to set up for P10 attendees. It sucks ass that it didn't work out as planned, and I sincerely hope that no one thinks that Tintmasters had anything to do with the change. I also hope that this will in no way affect attendance at the show, because from what I've heard, this show should be insane.
